Naked and famous denim - Page 653

Weird guy is a low rise with a taper from the knees down and generally a little slimmer in the thigh.  Slim guy is a mid-rise without the taper and generally slightly looser in the thigh.

Feel free to google this question and be presented with this from the Naked and famous website

slim has a longer (or higher) rise and a slim straight leg.  weird guys have an aggressive taper, as well as a weird "V" low rise waist.

no offence but if you are normally are 36" , go for slimguys (possibly in 33 or 34).

a heavily tapered trouser doesn't look great with a thicker torso in my opinion (it just accentuates the thickness).

I am a 33" and i wouldn't wear anything with a leg opening any less that 8".

Personally i dont think anyone over the age of 25 should be wearing tapered

cuts, the "carrot" shaped is a passing fad.

here are some size charts to compare with the measurements for chinos that you like

(note they are generic size charts from tate and yoko).

the thighs are meant to be the same size between cuts.

If you are to make a purchase, call the store and get measurements if you cannot try them on.

Remember they should be tight on first wear, they will stretch t least an inch in the waist and a bit in the thighs/to block as well.

I really appreciate your post. I agree that with my bigger body a strong taper does not look good; however, maybe it is just the 36s, but I don't think the taper is that aggressive.

One thing though, for the 34 and the 36, the charts say the rises for the wierd guy are bigger.

the slim guy fit is basically a tighter 501

weird guy is regular thighs with tapered legs as if you were to take slim fit jeans to a tailor and asked them to taper the legs

Hey guys---

I was looking into getting my first raw denim pair with Naked and Famous...

I didn't realize they had a slim guy fit. Most department stores that carry N&F only carry Skinny Guy and Weird Guy.

If I wear a 34'' Weird Guy, would I get a 34'' Slim guy? Also, what would be a better cut for an athletic 6'0'' 180 lbs? I'm thinkin about wearing to the office on Fridays, too. Wish hey had slim guys to try on in stores...

I was considering buying a pair of Weird Guys and decided against it because they were too tight in the thigh. I am 5'9" 165 lbs athletic build and the thighs were skin tight. I was at Barneys and like you said they only carried Weird Guy and Skinny Guy. I would recommend trying to get a Slim Guy unless you like the thigh hugging feeling of Weird Guy.

I thought the Weird guys were bigger up top, and tighter at he knee and lower. Wouldn't the slim guys be tighter in the thighs, and looser in the calf area?

I'm not concerned with the 'tightness' --- I can wear both jeans without hurting myself. I'm just wondering what looks better for a slim athletic guy, 6'0, normal proportions.
