The original intent of waxed clothing was to seal water out. I guess maybe there could be some practical benefit, but generally, jeans are waxed to create visual interest.

are you talking about this? right under the back pockets?

i get that too and i think thats from your thighs holding the jeans up but the top block is loose and wants to sag so the excess material gets squished in between there

3 years old broken twill, 3 washes
starting to have holes! I'm not really hardcore with them =)

Learned my lesson the hard way (the onis), but I now know how important thigh and rise measurements are

Some cuts will probably not work in any size...

have any of you guys hem your jeans after they have been washed and beaten? Kinda afraid after hemming it will look too unnatural. But I don't want to keep my 34" inseam PS's, too much stacking IMO

Just get them hemmed and tell the tailor to keep the "original hem."

I got my left hand twill about a week ago and they're great, except they're EXTREMELY rigid. So rigid, that they chafe my thighs. What should I do?
