I don't think so. They look cool with a little stack. My feeling is if you cuff them and they don't have a little stack you end up looking like "The Fonz" from Happy Days. That's my feeling. I'm not a big fan of the Rockabilly high water style. Plus when you wash them there is the potential for shrinkage. If you do get them hemmed I would do no more than a 1/2 inch.

Does the elephant 2 denim stretch much?

I had my slubs hemmed before washing to a 32 a few months ago...im 5'8 and I still have to cuff...I wanted a pair that I didn't have to cuff but oh well.

Good lesson in wash first hem later.

I missed that class, too...

Hey, noob here.

I've been wearing my E2 SGs for a few weeks now and I'm in love with them. However, on the combs there appears to be a bit of odd "cracking" (hard to describe). It's more prominent on one leg than the other but I can see one forming on the other leg. I haven't soaked them (Trying to keep them stiffer for higher contrast fades.) so perhaps that has something to do with it. Would spraying the back with a bit of water help? If not, no big deal, that's raw denim for you! But if there's anything I can do I'd love to know.

They're more prominent when actually worn, but this is the best I can do. Sorry!

Could you also hem half an inch more than the desired length if you don't want to wash before having them hemmed?

RE: Naked and famous denim

At 6 ft, my Weird guys have a lot of fabric for cuffing. How tight are people rolling their cuffs? A single role is a bit floppy.

This is a personal choice and there is no "rule" for cuffing or rolling. Personally I am also 6ft and turn 1in twice when I want a small roll.

There aren't many pics of really beat up E2s, which is funny because it seems like literally everyone on every denim forum on the net has a pair.

Just say this on Rawr denim, the pics speak for themselves, some of the craziest fades I've ever seen.

There's almost TOO much contrast.

I just picked up a pair of the Slubby Indigo/Indigo this weekend and realized the indigo weft. Will these bleed onto my shoes even with cuffing due to the indigo weft?
