wait, you're of 28 size and 29-30 skinny aren't loose on your waist? if that's so I might consider upping 1 in skinny elephant 2.

29 starts perfect on the waist and a bit tight in the thigh, but loosens up in both regards. 30 is looser in the waist to start, perfect in the thigh, with a belt they are perfect. If you said you are like 120 lbs and 5'7 I don't see how a 28 WG or 30 SG wouldn't fit you. I have 29 WG too right now, I sized up a bit because I'm being really active in them, they fit fine with a belt too.

Just thought I'd give an update after a month or so of wear. The jeans fit great now so don't worry if they're a bit tight when you first get them. They'll loosen up.

It sounds like we have drastically different body types but similar waist and thigh measurements, so I would say size 30 or 31 in weird guy if you want the taper.  I think tall people usually look better with straight jeans but I don't really pay that much attention to tall folks.  I have posted some fit pics of my jeans, both new and worn in, that you can find if you look through my posts.  I think you should look through the fit pics here or elsewhere (there are lots on hypebeast) to see what the different cuts look like on someone that is shaped similarly to you.

*i'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but hopefully this will help a little.

Thanks for the reply fistbump.gif

I would agree that straight jeans tend to look better on tall people, but that's never really been my style. But I don't really want skinny jeans either. So you'd say that the WeirdGuy is a pretty solid compromise? Also, in your experience with them, did you notice if they were tight in the calf at all?

I should prolly just check out some fit pics...

yeah, 30 SG would fit me well I guess. now I'm torn between this and APC NS.

thats an easy one, buy whatever you can get cheaper.  you will probably end up with both eventually anyway.

they still have size 28 NS, which sounds like what you would want if you would buy a 30 skinny guy or 29 weird guy and want a slim fit, at tresbien.  I sized down 3 for mine and they came in at $125... or you could get the skinny guy elephant 2, which it sounds like you're interested in,, for about $112 or less with codes from the karm@loop

or you could do like me and buy both sizes you're considering and the apc's shog[1].gif

or you can be like me when I first bought a pair of NF jeans, I ordered 2 sizes up and two sizes down in 3 - 4 models in the WG, SG, and Slim Guy fit. Only to come to the conclusion that I did not like the skinny jeans look (first tiime wearing fitted jeans) and THEN 3 months later deciding I wanted to try it again. lol Luckily those days are over...kind of.

n&f is cheaper here, about $150 while apc is at $165. $112 at karma plus shipping, tax and shit would more or less equal that amount so I'll just buy them from a local seller.

well unfortunately momotaro is out of my price range.

ok, so APC NS 28 and Elephant SG 30 have pretty much the same measurements except for the rise. so, will they look the same, fit wise? or will the elephants look skinnier, more hugging?

I'm thinking of getting elephant 2. what model and size do you think I should get? my waist is 30"-31". thanks.
this would be my ideal fit:
467
or
640

I would go with the size 29 SK, it is really not that skinny all things considered and more along the lines of a slim cut all the way down. WG have more of a taper, but I have had zero luck them so can't comment extensively on them without being overly bias.

If you aren't in the US then I guess missed that part, otherwise, those prices are were with tax and shipping and all that... assuming the #twitterUSD thing still works.

On the other hand, if you have a local seller, I would go there and try stuff on, get their help and give them your business.

also, I don't own any of the skinny guys, but the 1/2" difference in rise on the NS to the weird guy makes a huuuge difference in the amount of wiener room in my pants, even though i sized down one more on the NS, it's rise seems more appropriate for adult males.  That hasn't stopped me from buying more weird guys though.

I guess the price has changed. I checked the website and elephant 2 is priced $132 there.

damn, I just realized the rise on SG 30 Elephant 2 is 9.25". that's pretty low isn't it?? I wore 28 petit standard once (9.5" rise) and felt that's the lowest I could go. you know, I'm a low hanger shog[1].gifshog[1].gifshog[1].gif

just found a seller that sells momotaro cheaply. only 2 models though, 0700SP n 0100SP. do you think they're better than N&F?
