Anybody notice the wonky sizing? Say, the Slim Guy Black Selvage at size 30 measured 33" actual. Which would suck, since even a 28 won't fit me at that rate.

Well most waist sizes are not the actual measurement. Most of my 32" waist jeans really measure out to about 34.5". In fact, when I tried on a 32 in N&F they were way too small (couldn't come close to buttoning the top button.).

Size down 0 I am pretty much a "true" 34 (SC 1947/5epXsf/ES Hutch). When I tried on the 33's they did not do up, the 34's did up but where tight, the 36's swam on me. Since not many people had experience with this brand, figured it was best to go on the safe side with a pair that fit. For frame of reference on stretching 5EPXSF 34, after washed a few times and wearing stetches to 37 SC1947 washed many times, stretches to 36 I figure these stretch so much as I wear them on my hips due to the low rise. As for quality time will tell. I bought these as a stop gap pair until my custom sydney's were done, so they are now getting treated and worn like a "normal" pair of jeans. The ass has nearly turned completely white due to riding, there is some lap creasing and fading, but not much as I wash these whenever I feel like it. So far no construction issues, maybe they should have marketed like ES's wabisabi and people would not have been turned off by sloppy stitching.

I have the Big Slubs, and they really are pretty nice. They haven't stretched too much...yet, however i'm interested if mine get as big as it seems some others' have.

Saw a lot of N&F in NY at Barney's Co-op and Blue in Green. For the price point they seem great. Denim is better than I expected and the cuts/colors are interesting. The vintage blue almost had me but I had to save some moooney. The silk denim wasn't what I was expecting, kind of glad I didn't get them earlier as they're darker and a little bit heavier than I wanted. The skinny guy black raws I bought (and am selling) fit true. For someone just jumping into denim I'd suggest N&F over Academi, especially considering Academi's quality control issues.

stay true to size? or go w/ the BiG measurements

Try them on. I don't know of any online-only retailers that sell them so call the store you're ording from and request that they measure YOUR pair before they ship because you've heard of sizing irregularities.

where to buy these jeans? do they ship to Canada?

they're based in canada i had some weird guys. really liked the color, but they were really tight in leg and flappy on the waist, which made them awkward to wear. YMMV.

thats great, now what online sites sell them in canada? or do they only do instore sales?

Can anyone comment re: stretching, particularly in the waist? I purchased a pair of the weird guy model, sz. 33, over the weekend and they are tight. The 34's seemed a bit baggy throughout the leg, so I figured that I would be better off going a size down due to stretching. I'd sincerely appreciate any insight so that I know whether I should return the 33's (or stop eating).

^ If you like the leg on the weird guys and the waist is snug, it'll probably stretch by 1" or so I'd say.

I have a pair of weird guys (sz. 31) which fit great everywhere, except a touch loose in the waist (after 3 wears). I'm really hoping they don't stretch much more...

The guys at Sydneys said the N&F denim doesn't stretch nearly as much as most midrange "premium" denim does (eg. APC, Nudie)
