Have they stretched at all? I'm 5'6 and probably 120 or less at the moment and I was able to button the very top with the pants pulled all the way up my ass and the hips were super tight. They pretty much felt like the jeans would've blown out at the hips if I did anything in them. I think I have fit pics on this site several pages back. The rest of the pants fit fine and felt great if I kept them unbuttoned. Too bad I had exchanged them for 30's..should've got 29's but oh well.

As for sizing down on WG's...if you're skinny like me you can go TTS on WG's for a slim fit. I got my true size not really knowing they were vanity sized and they fit pretty slim. I'd like them to be slimmer but I'm happy

I have a 28.5 inch waist so the problem for me isn't really there, it's usually at the seat. I have a er..muscular behind, my thighs however aren't huge so that much also doesn't discomfort me. Usually I have to wear my jeans for a few weeks before they fit the way I like them, also I like my jeans on the fitted side. (My weight may be less or more now then what I originally posted I didn't really check, that was just a rough estimate since I have been fluctuating lately. Also I am short

like sadly short for my age and gender 5.3 maybe 5.4 on a good day.) smile.gif

The Elephant 2s took me awhile to get used to. Just buttoning the dam things left my thumbs sore, but I cut a little bit on the button holes and just worked that piece of denim till it softened enough to where I could slip them on no problem.

Honestly, I find these E2 a lot more comfortable than my JH and I kinda dig the dark indigo + heavy fabric at the moment.

karma loop has plenty of naked and famous jeans for sales. Use Repcode: MEMBERSONLY to get 20% off which is like $33 bucks off if that helps anyone out.

lol i guess karma loop is taboo on this site.

I agree, I think mine are pretty tight in the thighs (to tight actually) and I went tts. I by no means have large thighs. Normal for a guy I think. I am a big meat eater so I don't have a girly skinny hipster body.

No........we have taxes

If you can get it shipped to the US and have someone bring it over that would be best and you can avoid taxes and duties hopefully

Seems like everybody and their brother has a pair of Elephants...can't wait to see how all the different pairs fade.

Was the first run of Elephants just not as popular?

I haven't seen more than a couple pairs floating around on sufu.

I have been thinking the same thing.

26oz progress. Lost some weight, they've loosened up. My favorite jeans because of the denim-geekness (come on, who needs 26oz denim?) but not my favorite because I don't feel like a supple leopard in them.

absolutely on this, for me. i hv no idea why i feel more comfy in the E2 than japan heritage.. the JH has like a rougher feel to it, even after i have wear it almost a dozen times.
the e2 is a beat though.. so far only 2 buttons i can do..

Thanks!
And Yes I did get them hemed (chain-stiched) along with the JH, I am usually a 29.5 inseam but because of the starchiness of these I decided to leave them longer than usual to get some nice stacks.

Yeah, I love the look of the JH but they feel rough at the moment I'm sure they will soften after regular wear though so I'm excited to start on those next year. As for the buttons I read, and have had success with it myself, that cutting just less than a mm near the buttons and working the denim makes the process of buttoning them a lot easier. But, if you are afraid to cut too much or just dont feel like doing it you can always just work the little piece of fabric with your jeans off, and button and unbutton them until they soften a bit. I am sure this is a hell of a lot harder with heavier denim like the 26oz weirdguys from awhile back or those 32ozer!! Either way wearing them often and proper is always the best remedy.

Quick poll for everyone. Whats the heaviest denim you wear? What's too heavy and why?

Go

These are size 34. My thighs are now ~ 26.5" at the crotch.

These were a stretch but I decided to stick with it
