No washes as of yet on the indigo/indigo. I did do a short soak to get some bad smell out, they are my rock climbing jeans and I sweat in them a lot.

The belt has been treated with mink oil....my dog also chewed on it a little

do you have more recent pics? and was the later 6 months consistent? or also 2x/week?

No recent pics, but I have been wearing them pretty much 5-6 times a week. They are REALLY hard to fade....

I want a pair of the old Franks!! Not really feeling the newer ones color.

general logic says franks won't fade much, or it won't be as noticeable with all the weft clearly visible. the indigo isn't really that dark either

What do you mean the weft is clearly visible? I thought the 'alternating weave' was pretty much broken twill but instead of switching every 2 lines they do it in those huge sections.

Correct me if I'm wrong lol cuz there arent many details regarding the franks

So what happens if I have my jeans hemmed without washing them first?

Does it make a big difference?

If my package is being squeezed in the 32 WG would switching to a 33 solve my problem?

The jeans will shrink slightly..probably won't matter?

visible contrast makes good fades, white doesn't fade. they've been out for over a year now, someone would have posted some good progress pics by now

(still look fairly new haha)

Do you guys think soaking would make the fading a little more visible?

way too much sun light to see the colour details
post #6959 of 13341

if you want jeans to fade you need to wear them, I wouldn't even consider doing a soak on those NFxBJ yet mate. They are great jeans...Just go play a few games of football in them or bike around town or something along those lines

I just realized my jeans may be entirely way too dark to show noticeable fading. The Slubby Indigo Selvedge, anyone have any experience? It looks almost black unless in sunlight.
