Naked & Famous: "Elephant 2" Weird Guy

Last fall the 19oz Elephant fabric was a big hit. This season Elephant 2 is slightly heavier at 22oz in a deep indigo color. Available in both Weird Guy (photographed above) and Skinny Guy. Weird Guy just arrived and Skinny Guy will be here in about 2 weeks. We have already sold several and these might sell fast, but we have another shipment of Weird Guy on the way, so if we run out of your size please e-mail us to purchase a pair from our second shipment.

^ Very true. I can't handle more than two pairs in a rotation at a time, though. Even then, only one pair gets most of the wear. The couple thousand you have in denim barely qualifies as "spare money," but different strokes... Also, yes--to each her/his own.

Not everyone wants to wear the same pair of denim for 2 years in the hopes to turn them into some ratty worn out pair of hobo pants. I like having my denim stay dark.

I bought a pair of the Elephant 2 Weird Guys which unfortunately don't fit me (see classifieds if you need a size 31), because I love them. Definitely the best pair of heavyweight denim I've felt for under $200.

Question is: Are they true 22oz? The original elephants, advertised as 19oz, were way lighter than that

They are a true 22oz. Previous elephants were advertised 19oz which felt like 17.5-18oz.

Can anyone help me choose a size for the Weird Guy fit? I have a size 29 Slim guy chinos and the top block seems too snug in the crotch area for me even after stretch. I have a size 31 waist but usually wear 32s.

I would suggest going with a 31 if you don't want that snug of a fit since you said you usually wear 32's.

Re: Elephant 2s

Naked and Famous really needs to get their shit together and stop making WGs with an inseam less than 36".  Some of them are just plain unwearable unless you are a midget.

Yeah i dont want every pair of jeans ive gotten to get the most fades and signs of wear, some of them i just want to break in for comfort and i like the fit so i wear them, but im one of those that isnt trying to get the craziest fade combo. I actually like raw denim when its got like several months on them and still a dark indigo or whatever color they came in. I do like the progress of fading some of my pairs but thats not the only reason people like to get multiple pairs.

i would try one size up for you, a 30. and if you get any in the weird guy cut try to get to a place in your area to try them on first. But the pair you have might stretch even more depending on how long you have had them.

I'm 5'10" and I always hem my jeans to 34," I've still got at least two extra inches for stacking. I wouldn't consider my height to be midget status, probably about average if anything.

Thanks, but sadly I live in FL where quality clothing stores are pretty scarce so trying on cuts it pretty much out of the question. I plan to buy a pair of WG elephant 2s but I wasnt sure how much they would stretch.
