That's a better starting price than what I've seen for other brands in New York, at least. Edit: Wait, is that CAD or USD? Either way, it's still a decent price.

deep indigo or reg?

Was at Dutil today. The creator of Naked and Famous was there (Brandon I think?) selling the custom jean - wearing a denim/denim shirt/denim tie ensemble i might add. There were 10-15 choices for fabric, not all denim. Some quite interesting.

Update: I couldn't stand the looseness and hip flare in the top block so I hot soaked these to just above the knees (so I wouldn't have to reset my honeycombs). Somewhere I got the impression that these were sanforized, but since the denim felt loose I knew I could get some shrinkage.

Basically, after soaking the top block on my 31's ended up like a pair of 30's, the size I should have bought in the first place.

Pre-soak measurements
Waist: 34"
Thigh (at crotch): 12"
Thigh (1" below crotch): 11.5"

Post Soak measurements
Waist: 33"
Thigh (at crotch): 11.8"
Thigh (1" below crotch): 11.3"



Much happier with the fit now, although there is still some hip flare. Still wish that I had gone with 30's from the start since these stretch a lot in the waist. The only difference between the 30 and 31 is the top block, according to the BiG measurements. There was some indigo loss from the soak and the sheen on the denim is gone. It'll be interesting to see if the top block fades faster than the legs now.

interesting thought, i may have to do the same thing, i've got 32's because my legs barely fit in 31's but the waist on the 32's is too big

I picked up some weird guy grey selvedge jeans yesterday, I believe it's a new model but who knows since they never update their website. I'll post some pics later. Differences from other weird guys: Coin pocket is NOT selvedge Red leather patch I think the measurements are the same as the other weird guys and I'd guess the weight is 12oz.

anyone else think the buttonfly is set too high (or that it doenst go low enough)? I love the overall fit and color of the vintage blues, but the buttonfly opening makes it hard to take your schlong out when peeing. It's like the fly opening needs to be 1" lower, and thusly I have to unbuckle and pull down my jeans to wizz which I hate doing maybe that's why these are "weird guys"....you look like a fuckin weirdo when taking a piss with your jeans down at the knees

Agreed. I have the 'weird guy' in indigo selvedge and I run into the same problem, which is made worse by the stiffness of the jeans. It really takes away from the wearability of the jeans when you can't piss at a urinal when wearing them unless you undo the whole fly.

I know that the Holt on Bloor has some N&F. Beyond that, hopefully a local will respond.
