Hope you enjoy wearing those gorgeous babies, and don't forget to post pics of how they fade (unfade!) as you wear them

They are SO cool:)

They came in and they are both wonderful. I am breaking in the blue pair and I wore the white yesterday with my suede Alden chukkas. I love em and they will feel much better after they soften up.

Hey guys - after spending about an hour going through this thread, I figured i would post to see if i could get some advice from you all. I've been wanting to invest in a new pair of raw jeans for a bit and after doing some research (looking at size guides etc) i thought i had settled on the weird guy, but after going to nordstrom to try them on today II am having second thoughts.

I usually wear size 34" jeans - have rather big thighs (24 1/2) and the smallest part of my waist (usually where i wear jeans) measures about 36.5" -

I tried on the size 34" weird guy (pic below) and i just found to be wayyy to tight across the crotch area. I was able to get it all buttoned up but will they stretch enough to be comfortable?? I wasn't even able to get hands in pockets. The size 36 was really comfortable but too big in the waist - (didnt get a fit pic). What do you guys suggest, try to stretch out the 34", go with the 36", or try another model?

I guess the WG cut is not suited for you. I would search for a cut with a somewhat higher rise or better waist, rise, thigh ratio. Little differences can make a huge difference in how the topblock fits.

Just received a pair of WG Selvedge from Gilt.

Not sure if they are a Gilt-only pair or whether they are part of their usual offering - anyone let me know based on the below photos? Not fussed either way given the price, just curious (haven't had time to try them on yet). Haven't seen white/blue selvedge before.

Cheers.

I think they're too small on you...but a 36" wouldn't be the right cut

I agree you need a different cut with the right size and the right rise - you are Not a 34"!!!

They look great - any fit pics?

I haven't worn my Super Slubs for a few weeks - the trouble with hoarding jeans is that there aren't enough days in the week to wear them all!!!smile.gif

Hi all,

If I wear Levis 514 straight fit jeans and they fit me perfect in 34x30.

The Naked and Afraid Jeans in straight fit 21oz I am considering the 36x32.

Is there a likelyhood they will fit similar?

FYI: The Levis 501 STF in 35x32 fit good but weird cut makes them too baggy in thigh and calves but tight in waistline.  Just not  for me.

Thanks,

bigC

Yes, that sounds right

21oz denim is amazing once broken in, but if it's too tight you Really know about it!smile.gif

Well, I went ahead and ordered them.

Hopefully they fit well.  I plan on wearing the heck out of them out in the farm and in the office.

best,

bigC

Can't wait to see them on!

They'll start off really stiff...don't wash them until they've softened up (usually with heavyweight jeans I just wear them half a day at first to break them in!), then over time they'll just get better and better:-)

Don't forget to post fit pics..

Best,

Hirsh:)

Hey guys looking for some sizing advice - any of yo uever worn the black power stretch?  If so has it shrunk for you significantly? Ya ya I know its sanforized blah blah but I have had some sanforized denim and it has shrunk by like 20%.

So do any of you own the black power stretch or natrual indigo and have it shrink by alot after wash?>

my black power stretch haven't shrunk at all. they haven't changed size at all size over 4 years
