Naked and famous denim - Page 837

Can anyone explain why the measurements on super skinny guys are larger than those of skinny guys ?
So where is the best place to get a deal on these? I saw they had a few at gilt for 125ish. Their photos look kind of ugly.

Blue owl had a lot more to choose from but it looked like around $150 and no coupons to be found. Anyone know?

also, my best fitting jeans right now are about 38.5 inches in the waist. Kind of sucks because the size 34 will only stretch out to be less than 38" while the next size up will be far too large :/. Am I right about that?

Thanks in advance

Small selection, but Revolve offers 30% off for first-time customers. Other than that, you generally won't find N&F at less than retail except for a few random pairs at the end of the season.

^ I assume this guy's trolling.

Barney's tends to have them for cheap, Karma Loop sometimes has them on sale, they're on Gilt all the time (although often only returnable for Gilt credit), and I'm sure there are plenty of other places that even moderate Google acumen will help you discover.

i wouldn't recommend Kloop to anybody except as a horrible horrible joke, and last time i checked a lot of the N&F sold on Gilt is made specifically for them and isn't selvedge (someone correct me if that info is out of date). no trolling, i just don't often see the non-seasonal models on sale.

Hey, no I wasn't trolling.

Yes google shopping through the link you pasted is OK, but if a website has a coupon, you'll miss it. So it may show the lowest price at 120 when another site has them for 135 and a 20% off coupon.

Additionally, I wanted to know which sites had the best service or selection. Last, if any sites are offering cheaper versions the way the other poster above me said that Gilt does.

See, there's a lot to know that won't be found by any "quick" google search. I think in the end ********* might have the best deals because they always have coupons.

I have a "bit" of experience buying denim online, lemme try to help you out. I, too, really try to not pay full price for clothing, however buying online is a serious challenge.

Modern cuts are unforgiving as fuck. I used to have jeans that I would wear for YEARS regardless of weight fluctuations and today a pair won't fit right if my morning shit wasn't big enough. Top it all off, I don't even wear skinny denim, just modern cuts with a smaller rise which have a lightly fitted leg. It doesn't matter what you buy first - IT WON'T FIT and you will have to send it back. If you tried to save $10 by buying on final sale, you are fucked, because B&S is gonna rape you. I can't even pass a pair of unworn N&F for $50 on there.

Loads of stores are store credit only, so you're 1/2 fucked off the bat, and you will invariably have used a coupon which is now expired so your next pair is at full price anyway. You've just lost your 10% coupon in shipping charges AND you now have to pay full price to cash in your credit (or sell it HAHA, good luck). And you are extra fucked if everything else on the website is $300. This is known as the Blue Self Green Edge puckered starfish. That discontinued denim you just returned have tripled in price. You may as well just walk away from it.

Here is what you really need - a store with a large selection in approximately your price range so you have options when you return an item. Never buy denim on final sale unless you have literally tried on the VERY SAME PAIR they are shipping to you. Even if you are sz32 in every weird guy you have ever worn, this will be the pair that is mislabeled and you will never manage to sell it. You need to accept that you will likely make multiple trips to the PO to send pairs back.

You will likely pay more for the item at Revolve, however they have free returns and give full refunds back. Blue Owl has a huge selection for solid prices and they can offer legit assistance in sizing while Revolve cannot. Blue Owl sizing assistance is superior to anyone guessing on the internet because they will measure the pair. Tate and Yoko may be equivalent to Blue Owl.

How are the raw denim power stretch (skinny guy)? I have the black and midnight and they are my favorite pants I own. I absolutely hate N&F raw denim because they stretch out so much, but I'm thinking the raw power stretch might provide a nice slim cut with minimal stretching. Am I right?

Recently had a Sample Sale in NYC for the N&F denim 60% off...Tried on a pair Raw denims....fitting was weird...Glad I tried in person before buying online!

My Naked & Famous Dirty Fade Weird Guy jeans arrived today. My regular size is size 30, but I sized down to size 28 for these. They're way too tight for me at the moment. I can't even button them up. Would they stretch significantly so that I would be able to wear them buttoned up? Lesson learned. I'm going to size down to size 29 for future N&F Weird Guy purchases.

size 30 measured, or by manufacturer's size?

the N&F i ordered measured up exactly to their posted measurements on tate and yoko. (size 29, 31" waist)

As ygos is saying, if your regular size is "size 30" - that is not a measurement, that is an arbitrary size. That can be up to 33+" in some mall brands and down to 29" in skinny cuts.

(to no one in particular) I'm trying to pawn these off for $50. They fit like a size 30 or 31, imo.

They'll fit basically perfectly, if 30 is your true waist size, imo.  if that's what you wear in Levis/whatever, they'll probably still fit well.  I'm around a 31-32 TTS and used to wear a 30-32 in Levis and I got the Dirty Fade WG in a 29.  They're finally starting to break in and they're pretty baller, almost perfect fit.

How many buttons can't you button?  When I first got mine, I couldn't even button the top two buttons.  The waist has probably stretched 2 inches or so now.  Take a nap in them!

Thanks for the feedback. That's reassuring. In Levi's, I usually wear either size 30 or 31. I had to struggle to button the top two or three buttons at first, but I noticed it has started to become easier. The top two buttons look as if they're being pulled, however. I hope that wouldn't stay the case. They feel much more comfortable now than they did yesterday, but I still want them to stretch even more. How long does desirable stretching take place. I think I'll still go with size 29 instead of size 28 for most Weird Guys from now on. I know there are certain Naked & Famous jeans that you should go true to size for.
