Just got hold of a cut price pair of Suvin Els Selvedge in Weird Guy... I must have missed these when they came out, but they look rather nice...

The problem is there's no local stockists so I'll have to order online and I'm concerned about sizing. I'm quite slim, 5'7" and 135lbs so I don't want to get anything too big but the problem is I don't like super skinny stuff either, feels like it's showing off my chicken legs too much. I want something that's comfortable, and that fits as well as possible without noticably being "skinny" or drawing attention to my slender legs. Are the weird guys a good fir for this or should I go with slim guy?

Also I'm not sure if I should go with the 28s or 29s. Current jeans I have that fit ok are 30-31" waist, 10-11" thigh, and 7-8" for knee and opening. Am I better to order the 28s and hope they stretch a bit if they're tight, or get the 29s and soak them and hope they shrink a little if they're too loose?

Anyone with similar sizings or other input?

Thanks!

I would say 27/28 depending on the model for WG and 28/29 for skGuy. I am a 28/29 in WG and 29/30 in skG - thighs measure around 11-11.5, which is what you should be sizing your denim on

Nice, Suvin cotton is so wonderful. I have been eyeing a pair of those for a while. How you like them? Could you post a close up picture of the denim?:)

Weird Guys fit pretty much like what you described. Despite the name, Slim Guys look awfully baggy if you're on the skinny side. FWIW, my measurements are pretty close to yours (6'1", 140 lbs, 30.5" waist) and I wear a size 28 in the WG; post-stretching, they measure almost exactly like what you listed. Someone more knowledgeable can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's generally safe to assume that sanforized denim will stretch from wear significantly more than it will shrink from washing/soaking.

Sorry, I won't actually see them IRL myself for about 8 months because I had them sent to where I usually live in Canada! I'm in Japan for the year, and I don't want to be overloaded with stuff (and it was cheaper to have them sent to Canada).

Hi I have a question about N&F weird guys. Are they better in quality than unbrandeds or is it the hardware detailing and origin of manufacturing (canada vs china) that make them more expensive? I am in a situation where I have a pair of indigo unbranded 201's and two pairs of indigo N&F weird guys that I got for the same price (about $70 per pair). I know that the weird guys usually run $100 to $130ish so I got them for a pretty good discount. I will be keeping a pair of N&F weird guys but since I can only keep two pairs, I am left to choose between the 201's and the N&F. I have noticed that they also different shades (201's are much darker although they are both advertised as "indigo") so I am thinking about keeping one pair of 201 and one pair of N&F for variety. Buuuuuut...it is hard for me to let go of the discount I got for the N&F. What are your thoughts?

Get the N&Fs.

The materials are better with the N&Fs, it's not just the country of origin.

You can get them on sale at nordstrom online too.  Karm@loop used to have sales a lot too.

Yeah KL used to have some pretty good promos, but I find N&F are often excluded these days... a year or two back you could get 40% off pretty regularly.
