Would you guys keep the 34's and hope they stretch a little, or would you keep the 36's and wear a belt all the time? Thanks!

I would go with the 36's.  I am sure many will say the 34 will stretch but for me who has  thick thighs and a medium sized butt, any shrinking in those areas pretty much prevents me from sizing down.  If I never wash my jeans than yes I can size down 1 but of course I wash every 3 months or so.  Besides my problems U look like u have a problem area in ur top thigh below ur crotch..seams pretty tight in the 34's picture

I would go with 34. But maybe youll benefit from Slim Guys instead.

Go with the 34s if they are not too tight on your thighs. If not, go with the 34s and wear a belt. From the looks of it the 34s will be fine once they stretch out.

Thanks guys, I have a while before I have to decide so I'll see if I can get used to the 34's.  The 36's feel great right now, but it seems like they might get too baggy in a month or two.

I'm curious as to why you think the slim guys may be a better fit for me?  I actually ordered a size 34 in slim guys but it was way too tight so I'd definitely have to with a 36.  I wish I would have ordered a pair to try.  With a 36 I was afraid of how they'd look below the knee though since it seems like the WG's are plenty wide down there.

Can anybody think of another brand/cut that might work with larger thighs, and maybe doesn't have such a low rise?

I have a big butt, big thighs, and decent sized calves.  This isn't from working out, just runs in my family and that's why I thought the WG would be a good choice.

First I tried on the 36's and they felt pretty comfortable everywhere, except the waist was really big.  Next I tried on the 34's and they are pretty tight around the thighs and hips, but my waist has plenty of room.  Buttoning them up was a little tough, but that seemed to be from my hips and not my waist since the top button was easier than some of the lower ones.

They seem to be stretched somewhat tight around the buttons and crotch so I don't want to stress them too much, but I'm not sure if I can deal with the huge waist on the 36's.  Also, they seem to be very "low rise" and even if I wear a tight belt, whenever I crouch down (which is a lot since I have an 11 month old) there's a lot of butt crack showing if I don't have a long shirt on. The pockets are very tight, but that seems to be common with N&F.

Here are pics of the 34's...

I would also suggest going with the 34s if you feel that the thighs are not too tight.  I have not been wearing my WGs I got a while back because it's been hot and humid as shit in Georgia (per Summer), but they looked pretty similar to the way your 34s thighs look in your picture, and they have definitely stretched out quite a bit.  They may not ever hit "ninja-kick" thigh stretchage, but they're comfortable enough.

I'm also interested in alternate fits/brands that are similar but may be slightly different to the WGs, though.  I've got big old thighs and they're not going anywhere any time soon.

KEEP WEARING IT! it look nice now and will only look better, with  raw denim no pain no gain.

I'd say go with the 34's. Denim will eventually stretch but it won't shrink. Be wary of crotch blowouts though. Send it in for repair if it starts looking flimsy.

A crotch blowout is my biggest worry since it seems like there's a lot of pressure in that area, especially when I'm taking long strides, climbing stairs, bending down, etc.

Would a quick cold soak help with that?  If I wore them damp would that also help with the hip/crotch area stretching a little bit?  I wasn't planning on doing an early soak but if it would help out in this area I'd definitely try it.

Most N&F are sanforized, so they won't shrink (much). A quick cold soak to remove some starch will make the fabric more pliable and thus easier to handle.

I'll do that tonight and see what happens.  How long would you suggest I keep them in there?  Should I use any detergent?

I soaked them for an hour in cold water (inside out).  The water didn't really have any blue tint, it was just yellow.  They smelled pretty strange also.

After a few hours of letting them hang in the bathroom I put them on and tried to stretch them in the hips a little. They were still wet and bleeding a lot so I took them off and hung them in front of a fan for the night.

Looking forward to seeing if there's any difference tomorrow.

Does anyone have one of their 10 oz button shirts? How heavy/hot do they get? Seems like that would be a pain in the summer.

Anybody seen any evo pics on the 32oz?  I remember it was a bfd when NF launched these beasts, but I haven't seen ANY fit pics or evo pics on them.  Are the owners ashamed?  Whats up?
