Naked and famous denim - Page 771

Responses from Gilt.. I may have managed to get a CS person in trouble in the process. My bad.

Gilt Groupe stands by our vendors and products one hundred percent ; these jeans are absolutely not off-brand "for Gilt" Naked and Famous jeans, they are simply Naked and Famous jeans.

I was personally unfamiliar with the term "selvedge" and mistook it for a wash, rather than a material with a particular construction. Having researched the issue more thoroughly, I believe the jeans are selvedge, but clearly do not know enough about the subject to give a definitive answer(again, my sincere apologies). I have forwarded this issue with an updated request for clarification about the construction of the jeans to our merchandising team. They should be in touch within three to five business days(or sooner) with more information about the materials and construction used for the Naked and Famous jeans.

Does N&F make non-selvedge weird guys? I suspect that they will fill these orders with the assortment of weird guys that come in indigo. But like I said, I am far from an expert.

Ohh I c. Check out Unbrandeds selvedge chino, they are suppose to be the same cut as the skinny guys.

Yep, most of the more unusual offerings won't be selvedge and neither are the Frankensteins if I remember correctly.  I don't think the blanket lined I'm wearing are either.

I meant to say do they have indigo in non-selvedge, but you still answered my question with the Frankensteins. Thanks.

Your are correct. If it dosent fade that does not mean it is not selvedge.

I've been looking through the thread and there's a lot of stuff to take in here...This would be my first pair of naked and famous/raw jeans so I was just trying to get some input for my first purchase.  My measurements are waist = 35" hips = 35" (usually wear my jeans lower on the hip) calf = 14" thigh = 23.5".  What style do you think would fit me best and what size knowing that they will stretch a little?  I'm not looking for a super tight fit either, but definitely not baggy.  I'm gonna go down to nordstrom this weekend and try some on to see, but I'm not sure what kind of selection they have...Just wanted an idea of what I should be looking for before I go.

NF WG got tan, sand, red for blue owl, and olive. Skinny guys got duck selvedge "similar" and unbranded got blue, and tan. You could still get 3 nice colors in skinny guy cut.

*The weird guys tan color is amazing it looks like milky coffee, I get lots of compliments on them. I dont think unbranded is the same.

I just stopped wearing all N&F pants "love the color but want to sell my WG chinos" , there pack pockets are too big for my ass. They all make my ass look flat and wide.

*There dress shirts are still the best shirts Ive ever worn even compared to $300 band of outsiders ones.

BO has a different aesthetic and more attention to detail, I enjoy my NF and wear them often but I don't think that is a fair comparison. The Chino fabric used for the NF pants are so nice it's a shame that they use a 5 pocket jean cut for them. Would love a traditional welt pocket/ side pocket chino from NF.
