Naked and famous denim - Page 742

i think you should go ahead and give railcar a try , or even pbj if you have the extra funds smile.gif
she only wore it for 2 months i think. and did stretch around 0.5 inch at the waist.

anyway lets not go off topic here.
before i got the railcar, i ask jay to get his opinion on n&f ladies. and conclude that its good enough to start off but the fades are not that great.

How is the fabric? Is the fabric too heavy or thick for spring/summer?

@juhan Thanks man, they look nice!

You forgot to tell me which model this is.

I've worn it up to 28 degrees celcius and that seems to be he boarder line. Especially if you don't plan to soak/wash because any hotter and you'll be sweating to the point that they need water. Also depends on your climate/humidity. I've worn them to the beginning of Toronto summers and the hong Kong autumns.

It feels softer now and more moldable compared to when I first got them

It's very thick, and definitely too heavy for summer. That's not mine btw, but I have a pair.

I wear a 27 in APC Petit Standard. Just not happy with the knee buldges I have on them. What NF cut is most similar to petit standard? Overall it fits me well, just that the thighs are too constricting and it bunches up a bit poorly at the knees and stacks.

knee buldges will happen on any jean. the thicker the denim the more itll bulge out. the only denim that wont really bulge out is the power stretches. super skinny guy or skinny for petit standard fit.

wot....id think the tighter the jean the more itll bulge

Understandable but APC isn't very thick. And I believe it is because my pair is simply too tight in the thighs and knees as TooAwesome mentioned. I'm sure if I had .25-.5 inch in the knees on my petit standards it wouldn't look as bad. Anyways I'd like to get into NF. What cut should I go for? And how much do these tend to stretch in different areas and also shrink after the first wash in certain areas? Just trying to make sure I pick the perfect size to start with. Thanks!

Has anyone ever bought the painter jeans? Thinking of picking up a pair for summer. I am hesitant because they don't make them in skinny guy unfortunately, Does anyone think weird guy would work instead?

well compared to general thickness of denim. a 10 oz levis wont really bulge out as much versus a 14oz. tightness effects too as mentioned. but i have 14 oz unbranded and 21 oz unbranded in the same fit and the knees are much more bulged out on the 21 oz.

Sizing down 1 from your skinny guy size to weird guy would be similar in slimness but trying it on first is your best bet

What about 2? Does the painter stretch a lot? My waist is a 33, seems like Tate and Yoko are the only ones who have it in stock and only in a 30, I typically wear a 32 in Naked and famous.

That was a S/S '12 release so they're going to be limited.  I would still shoot them an email just in case they have a return pending or some shit.  A 31 just went for 60 on ebay.  On the product detail it says it's supposed to hold its color and not stretch much.
