I have exactly the same problem as you have right now. Once they are set you just can't get them to change. I also tried the same methods... but no success here

Pair of super old, lightly worn broken till skinny guys + $7 tapering from the knee down to ~7.25" = literally the perfect jean fit for me.

Stoked.  It was my first pair of raw denim ever, probably 4 years ago now, so I guess things have come full circle haha

Fuck. I thought constant dripping wears the stone. :/

I've only had this problem once and it was when I wanted to change the initial cuff size by a few mm after having the same cuffs for several months. Have you tried soaking the bottom of the jeans and then re-cuffing?

custom N&F regular guy

These are traveled the world with me and now have been used for rock climbing a few times. They really really need a wash but I am thinking F!%k that!

How'd you get a custom pair?

It's beautiful! Those pants probably have their own ecosystem though.

They are about 8 months old. I went to Japan and walked all around Thailand in them. They have also taken a trip to Montreal with me. I bike to school just about everyday and live a very active life (rock climbing, skateboarding with dog). The denim fades pretty quickly for how light it is. Not a good winter jeans but hey, I live in Florida.
