Naked and famous denim - Page 701

Of the 3 pics i've posted first is fit which i dont think is that bad. 2nd is just showing how much room is in the back, i slipped my hand right in. and last is just how much slack is in the front. i wonder if they will shrink in a pre-soak or would sizing down be the smartest route to take? i want them to fit well but not choke my legs.

Unless it is unsanforized, size down one.

Blue owl says these jeans use a 13.75 left hand twill. So size down one more?? Would that make them too skinny on the legs?

That would be the weight of the denim.  What you want to is measure your thighs at their widest point, your waist at the navel, desired inseam, and your knee.  You then take these measurements and compare them against the measurement tables Tate+Yoko and Blue Owl provide.  Pick the jeans that fit the closest, understanding that the thigh measurement is more important than the waist.  The jeans will not shrink all that much with soaking but they will stretch in the waist and a very small amount in the thighs.  You can wear a belt.  Watch out for the crotch though, that shit doesn't stretch at all so don't put your balls in peril.  This post is a collection of information that was provided within the last ten pages.

Yea they shrink  a good amount, the waist stretches back though. Ankle and thigh area dont stretch back that much

How much shrinkage in the inseam? I've seen comments saying everything from none to very little (less than .5") to a lot (more than 1"). I'm planning to do a cold wash on a delicate cycle and hang dry upside down.

Can you just stretch the inseam back out again? The tags on all my jeans say "stretch inseam when damp to achieve desired length" or something like that.

N&F 32oz jeans. His big brother gave him these jeans as a gift upon graduating from infantry training in the US Army. He's 5"11 for reference.
