Naked and famous denim - Page 699

I just did my first hot wash after wearing the jeans unwashed for 7 months. My only problem with the jean is that the waist stretched out too much for my liking and I think the rise on this jean is a bit weird. It's size 31, but I think it stretched out to ~34" in the waist, and after the hot wash, it shrunk to 33". Will it stretch back to 34" with regular wear?

The perfect waist would be 32" for me.The jeans are now rinsed and are hung in the bathroom. Should I just toss them into the dryer or let it hang dry?

thats what happens when you dont account for stretch and buy the perfect fit off the rack

Broken Twill.  The Deep Indigos take a beating before they fade.

I let them hang dry. It shrunk back to 32" which is perfect, but I just hope it won't stretch anymore in the waist. Should wearing a belt prevent it from stretching more?

I'm interested in raw denim and am looking at the Naked and Famous Weird Guy Indigo Selvedge. My waist is 31", so from my understanding I should order size 28, which is a 30" waist, to allow room for stretch.

I would also like to add that I have an athletic build, and the thigh, knee, and leg opening measurements match up with my body, but I have a large butt. Will that be a problem with the fit? I measure about 37" around the pelvic/hip region. I don't know if that information helps at all, but I figured I would add it.

Thanks for the help.

I sized down 1" below my true waist on the elephant 2's and have big thighs and a butt. While it ended stretching pretty well it was almost excruciating for the first week, actually ripped some skin on the hands getting the top button done up. Would recommend size 29 - if you're athletic they will still be tight enough.

The indigo selvage will probably stretch more than the elephant 2.
