Naked and famous denim - Page 70

Damn. I just bought a sz33 Slim Guy. I am a 33 in Nudie Slim Jims. Should I have sized down to 32? 32 fit but was a bit tight, couldn't really get hands in pockets, top button hard to get done up.

Anyone else think Weird Guys fit much like Levi 511's?

Phildo can you throw up a recent fit pic on those?

Monster rise / dumpy ass?

I got the SlimGuy Chino's in - they are excellent. I would totally take 2" off the rise (at least), though, all around, if I were designing this cut. The 8" hems are large by slim standards, but I wear a lot of boots so it's perfect.

I heard from one of the guys at Dutil that they're opening a Naked & Famous pop-up store in the space around the corner currently taken up by Roden Gray. Launch party August 15, Y'all. Get on their mailing list if you want more details. I hope that they'll have the Momotaro collab! The pop-up is set to change the brand it focuses on every 6 months, so fingers crossed for PBJ next!

In related Vancouver retail news, Roden Gray is moving to a new location on Water Street where they'll have 2 floors and 4x the space.

Are their any retailers in Edmonton that carry Naked and Famous denim? I'd like to try on a few pairs.

I believe next up after the N&F pop up shop is something eyewear related. Oliver Peoples maybe.

You guys all must be skinny as hell, because I tried on Weird Guys in 32 today, my true waist size, and while they were really tight. I could button them up "” the waist fit tight but nothing that stretching wouldn't fix "” but the thighs and ass where painted on, that's how tight they were.

How the hell are you guys getting two or three sizes down?

I tried on 33s in Weird Guys "” a whole size bigger than what I normally wear "” and the thighs and ass fit well, but the waist was a tad loose. Not falling-off-my-ass loose, but because I've read that Naked and Famous jeans really stretch, they would probably get too loose very soon.

It seems that I have to size up to get it comfortable in the ass and thighs, but the waist won't fit anymore... what should I do? Go with the 33s? Go for the too-tight 32s and hope the ass and thighs stretch a size up? But I wouldn't want the waist to stretch, because the waist fits fine.

Maybe Naked and Famous are just not for me (or at least Weird Guys)? I've said in the past that I have big, muscular thighs and a big ass, and I've been told by posters on this forum that "my thighs aren't that big." Isn't my experience today proof that they're bigger than normal, if I have to size a waist up from what fits just so the thighs and ass fit?

Anyways, I really like the Weird Guys because they're tapered, but maybe I should just go for the Slim Guys and then have those tapered?

I have two pairs of N&F Slimguys and they don't stretch much, nothing close to APCs. I think they stretch about the same as 3Sixteen jeans. My Slimguys stretched about an inch in the waist after several wears. I haven't washed my N&F jeans yet and I've had them for 8 months or so, I'd wash them first before getting them tapered since they'll shrink a little.

have you tried the skinny guys? some of them have 3-5% elastane, which means they stretch. and they are tapered. size up one from the weird guy size. i have all 3 styles and actually had a tailor taper my black selvedge slim guys. i like all the fits, but it sounds like a stretchy skinny guy may be your ticket here.

Hmmm no I haven't tried on the Skinny Guys. I don't want a skinny jean per se, just fitted and tapered. But if I size up one or two maybe I can get my desired result. But the Skinny Guys are even lower rise than either the Weird or Slim Guys, so I'm hesitant.

If Weird Guys are too tight, then Skinny Guys will definitely not fit you. I am slim (6'1 155) wearing size 30 Skinny Guys (32" at the waist when stretched) and they are pretty form-fitting on me.

Yeah, good call. I'm 6'1", 180lbs.

You could try the Slim Guys, but then again I consider those pretty tight up top (maybe I should have sized up). I'm hoping they'll stretch in the upper thigh area as I'm pretty immobile in them at the moment, and I don't consider my thighs (nor my ass) to be very big. They fit well from just above the knee and down, though.
