got home and the first thing i did was try them on.

its going to be painful the first wear. but waist is pretty spot on thanks to Jay's recommendations
will have to hem them a bit as im a short arse
You should have let Jay do the hemming, assuming you know your desired inseam, the service is free if you buy from him. It does a solid job has some special machine, that I think is meant for denim/chain stitching. I assume regular tailors do not have such a machine.
