also thinking of ordering  JH from KL too!!!  I would find it funny of 5 other people tried buying JH and all got DI. I wonder if they even have that model in stock.

 

Anyways, are the LHT's pretty dark? Some pics vary in shade and I'll probably be to looking for another pair that's some what dark. Like my DI but would like something else.

Your post made me finally register after lurking forever because I finally feel like I can contribute something haha.

 

I have both DI and LHT.  The LHT is lighter, but mostly because the twill is left hand.  It causes you to see more of the natural white weft underneath.  The LHTs are smooth and almost like pants at first, whereas the DIs have a bit of hairiness to the denim.  The LHTs have a slight sheen to them because they look so "uniform".  They are really precise in terms of the way they are woven...if that makes sense.  I like them more than my DIs personally, because they look so good when they stack and/or cuff, and the fades created are an awesome color. They are the ones worn by the N&F creator/owner too! Check out his pair:

really looks amazing. the fades looks so cool and vintage-ish. if i had budget, its either this or railcar spikes or eternals.

LHT's fade pretty quickly too.  I've had a pair since late spring of this year...didn't get much wear over the summer due to the heat...maybe 2 months of actual wear but i already have a wallet fade started as well as visible differences in the honeycomes/whiskers.  

I'd been wanting to try a LHT in some capacity for a while - either this or the PBJ xx0011. Price is obviously in N&F's favor...

might be a dumb question but after you guys wash the jeans for the first time how much does the length shrink?

or do you do a warm soak before your first wear to get rid of the shrink

LHT are awesome, I have a pair of WG in 31 that I wore sparingly over 3-4 months) but already started to fade kinda nicely.  Unfortunately I haven't been able to fit in them for a while but I"m cutting down on my weight so we'll see, got such a weird lower body smh lol.

 

Doesn't hurt that they're pretty budget-friendly too.

 

 

And ^ personally I never pre soak sanforized jeans, but I know some people do.  I sort of like the initial starchiness during the breaking in period but maybe that's just me. 

Normally I totally agree w/ you re: soaking sanforized denim. Just recently though my WGs shrunk down substantially enough on their first soak that I had to move them on b/c it became so uncomfortable. From now on, everything's getting soaked right off the bat. Had them for almost a year, worn them very intermittently and hadn't figured they'd stretched much at all, but alas

About the length, mine came up about an inch.^^

generally, its either you stay true to size or size down one for skinnyguy. but it depends on which fabric and how slim are you

received my pair of NF and unbranded jeans from Jay at Blue Owl. He's awesome always answers emails promptly and had my tracking number about 3 hours after i ordered.

got home and the first thing i did was try them on.


its going to be painful the first wear. but waist is pretty spot on thanks to Jay's recommendations
will have to hem them a bit as im a short arse

The rise on some of the Weird Guys cuts are truly ball destroying and that's one of the reasons I won't buy WG's anymore. The duck canvas pair in particular is just ridiculous. Rise needs to be dropped a full inch.

Fortunately the skinny guy doesn't have this problem.

really? I've owned several pairs of weird guys , never had an issue . The skinny guy was too skinny for me.
