also while i'm at it, what are the closest fit to the new standard? what sizing info/cut?

I know i know, search.... but I've spent 2 hours on looking and have gotten a ton of different opinions! thanks

chill guys..

@ wwjbd24 ,

its good that you have read and i dont see how you can get many different opinions like you said. my advice is the same as lckychrmsbboy.
but im gonna say you are a 29 in weirdguy ducks or 30 in skinnyguy.. but if it was me, i would go a size up from my usual weirdguy size as i want a less slim profile with the ducks/chinos, and for more comfort too.

Hi all,

Just ordered some GreenCast WG off of T&Y and I'm not sure if I ought to return them. My true waist is ~36, so I ordered a 33 (35" actual).  I know they stretch a bit, but I was hoping for a little looser fit through the legs. They are really snug on my thighs. I'm not sure how much sizing up would help as a 34 is the same measurement through the upper thigh. I also think I'll be SOL trying to find the greencast in a 34 anyways.  Anyhow, here are the pics. Let me know what you think:

Thanks for the help.

If anyone else owns a pair of the Glow In The Dark jeans, I highly recommend this product - the 4Sevens Mini ML LED flashlight. It's a tiny 180 lumen flashlight that can fit in the coin pocket of the jeans. 180 lumens is incredibly bright, which means it's perfect for activating the glow-in-the-dark properties. You can use it to draw designs on the jeans with light, and it's a really neat trick. I will try to shoot / post a little video of it, but low-light filming is often difficult. Take my word for it, this little accessory is a home run hit if you own these jeans. I have the Weird Guys from last season, but if you wear the Skinny Guy cut, I highly recommend picking up a pair from the current run. They look just like grey pants, but they pack such a great punch!

Fit looks a little tight you might want to size up. The waist will stretch but the buttocks and thigh area not so much. would recommend the 34

I disagree... I wouldn't size up. Depending on how active you are, the thighs and butt will stretch out a bit.

@bob99 - The Skinny Guy glow in the dark jeans DO come with a lil blacklight flashlight keychain! I've seen it in action and it works very well. But I bet the one you have is more powerful. You can also use it to see scorpions in the dark, if you like that sort of thing...

They look a touch tight now, but they will stretch. I measure exactly the same as you and I went 33 in WG Left Hand Twills. They fit close at first, but now, 7 months later of wearing them nearly every day, they have stretched out substantially all throughout the top block. I'm not saying it took 7 months for that to happen, it was much quicker. My point is if you're wearing these as your main denim, every day to nearly every day, everything will stretch including the thighs. As long as they're not uncomfortable, I'd recommend sticking with them.

Thanks for the quick responses. Alex at T&Y gave me similar advice. I think I'll try to break these in and see how they work out. If it doesn't turn out quite how I'd like, I'll go ahead and size up on my next pair. Thanks again.

maybe some of you recognize me, I am the german dude who purchased a pair Japan Heritages from *********.
KL sent some Deep Indigos instead of the right model, which I already own.
After contacting KL for several times they sorted it out to refund my money and sent another package, I also sent the Deep Indigos back.

Today I received the second package and guess what: they sent a pair of Deep Indigos again. Feel free to laugh now.

Those noobs are probably confused by the tags saying "rare and japanese denim".

WASHED my jeans for the first time, HUGE mistake.

presoaked before wearing, then wore my red wefts for about a year plus. this week i soaked my red wefts in the tub with some woolite dark for about 50 minutes. then i took them out and hung them to dry.

when i put them back on, i noticed that my stacks were not falling as they used to; EG, going forward, i will be making new stacks/fades/combs.

is that right? or did i do something wrong? won't new stacks/fades/combs negate what i did before?

thanks

Either one should get you where you want to go. From personal experience, Jay is more than willing to measure out specific pairs if you're looking for slightly larger thighs, whatever. Haven't dealt personally w/ Tate&Yoko, but don't doubt based on their rep that they're a quality operation.

what? Mate you need to have them make this right. I would ask them to overnight you the correct pair and speak with a manager. Also in the future, never order from them

Naked & Famous: 10oz Selvedge Ducks

Naked & Famous Ducks are Back! Again! With our recent duck shipment from last month, a lot of sizes sold out quickly, but we are fully stocked now on all sizes. The Naked & Famous 10oz duck was first released fall 2011 and it was one of the popular fabrics N&F ever produced. It has not been made in quite some time and we are excited to have it available once again. The fabric is a beautiful khaki brown that can be both dressy and casual and the weight is perfect for year round wear. The duck cloth is a great compliment to any wardrobe and a good change of pace from wearing denim or a chino.
