Of course they are going to be uncomfortable for a bit, thats part of the fun! Then with time and work you will have the ultimate winter jean. I loved breaking in the Elephant 2's, once I broke them I could do anything in them, even skated in them from time to time. So once you break the 32's I'm sure they are just really heavy thick jeans!

Sorry, quoted the wrong post, this was for Caltex's response to your post.

I say don't get em...not for that much. I'd rather get some Iron Hearts or something.

As has been mentioned before it's basically just a novelty thing. But I agree I much rather have a nice pair of either Iron Hearts, Sams, PBJs, Strike Golds, Onis  or anything else really.

Also, I'm sure you can get them for much less.

Im not sure why I've never asked this, but I've owned several pairs of N&F jeans, and have always bought a 30. They fit great in the waist, but after 6 months or so, the waist is now about  31, and need to tighten my belt. Should I start buying 29 and be uncomfortable for 1-2 months ?

Also , do the duck canvas stretch as much as the standard denim? thanks

I am always way more concerned with if the thighs will fit.. If your thighs will be fine in a 29 then yes. I would much rather a loose waist then a jegging thigh.

If the thighs are correct, consider wearing a belt from day one to avoid the inch stretch you don't need.

From my experience, the thighs stretch out over time just like the waist .

From my experience, it doesn't help at all or better said the stretch is still remarkable.
Frankly, I have never noted such a huge difference after wearing in a pair of raws. Unfortunately, thighs were the bottleneck re downsizing for me as well and the opinions on their stretch potential are contradictory.

I have no idea what you're trying to say... "thighs were the bottleneck re downsizing .." wut ?

He is saying that the thighs wont stretch out nearly as much as the waist if very much at all.

How's the pockets on the ducks? Are they difficult to use like the other N&F models?
