My point is that this is not STP or Amazon and if you buy from long-standing forum members, you shouldn't worry about delays. I usually ship items within a day of receiving payment but I've had situations where other things got in the way and I didn't ship for more than a week or 10 days. I've also bought stuff and waited for several weeks to receive it, that's life (in fact I bought a sportcoat from another member at the same time as JBlue and haven't received it either; I'm not worried or harassing him or filing a paypal dispute - after only 2 weeks - gimme a break!)

I don't expect sellers to put their life on hold to go to the post office and ship my tie or shoes, neither should you. Unless someone consistently delays shipping by several weeks, just relax, you'll get your stuff.

It's all good. I was just curious. Probably be best to advise the buyer that....."i'm extremely busy at work these days and probably won't be able to ship till ...." Also, if a seller would keep telling me an item is shipped but really is not i'd be a little pissed also: Though i'm sure I would not be pissed enough to file a dispute at that point. All in all, I'd have a lot more respect for someone who tells it like it is that someone feeding me BS.

Re-read what I stated. He gave me 2 weeks of excusese and to this point still have not provided me tracking #(was agreed before payment).

What am I suppose to do? I have been scammed before where hte seller just kept feeding me excuses until the funds were cleared out the account.

Am I not being reasonable? If you read my post. Excuses after excuses.. ignoring my questions on something that was agreed on before payment. I have waited more then patiently for 2 weeks with multiple excuses. Until now he has yet to give me tracking #.. he first told me he shipped the item but need to get the # tomororw from the shipper? Does this sound reasonable? Tomorrow has come and gone. Replying on this thread and ignoring my request NOW is unreasonable. Why is it hard to provide something that was agreed on from day one? Why does he reply to emails quickly pre-payment then post payment? Why am I not able to be upset when he has given me excusese for 2 weeks on when the item would be shipped? Why does he continue to ignore my request and provide my tracking #?

Read my post again and maybe you will see my view. It was agreed before payment. 2 weeks + of excuses!? Still to this day no tracking #? It is now 23 days or over 3 weeks! I have a right to be worried. Gee If he is a scammer the funds would be long gone..

With these types of expectations, maybe the forum isn't the best place to do your shopping. Two to three weeks to ship isn't ideal, and I can see some validity in your other complaints, but I still don't think it warrants this kind of response. I've ordered things from real bricks-and-mortar companies and had it take months to receive my item.

I blame eBay for this. Good sellers ship so quickly it fosters the notion that everything should arrive in five days or less. But sometimes real life intrudes.

I think two weeks from payment to receipt of goods is a reasonable amount of time. Any more time than that, and the seller better have a good excuse, like being in the hospital or stuck in a foreign country. Then again, I am an impatient buyer.

I always use a credit card when I pay using PayPal. My credit card company allows me to file a dispute six months after the fact and will go to the mat for me. That way, I don't get worked up when items take a little while to get to me.

This is the best advice, and one reason I'm so laid back about it. I put it on the card, and if it doesn't come, I still have a line of recourse.

I had one distpute with a seller here a while back and when I couldn't get a response from the seller, I pm'ed the mods asking for help and they intervened. My next step would have been making a post in the B&S forum because the guy was still selling stuff, but he ended up responded to the mods and then to me and shipping the item. If I were you, I would have contacted the mods first, then made a new post soberly expressing your complaint. To carpet bomb 6 or 7 old threads with the same complaint and no explanation, especially given the fact that you have no history here, was not a good way to handle it. I hope you get the blazer though and everything works out.

Which credit card company do you use? I use Amex whichis pretty good, but they don't allow me more than 2 months, unless they have changed their policy.

I'm curious. I thought you said you paid february 19, which is not 23 days or 3 weeks. Did I miss the date you paid?

Maybe I am in minority here. But I always look at this as a contract, if the buyer pays for an item promptly, then I have the obligation to fill my end of the bargain by shipping it as quickly as I could ( means within 1 week at least). If something has come up, then the least I could do is to give the buyer a heads up, not by giving him a run around.

I jsut wished my transaction went smoothly. It is not. I wanted to give forum members a warning.

I am not hear to give maomao1980 a bad name but i do want others to know of my situation.

I am very confused why he still continue to dodge my request for a tracking #. Maybe he has a good reason maybe he doesn't. I have been burned in the pass and the scammer gave the familiar excuses so he could have ample time to transfer funds out of his account. One thing is certain..instead of the run arounds.. he should of been upfront.

Thank you everyone's constructive criticism.
