Hey all,

I'm hoping that everyone's collective knowledge can help contribute to my next cell phone purchase. My Motorola RAZR is on its last legs. What a POS it's been; I'm looking forward to heaving it off a cliff.

These are my special cell phone wants, in rough order of priority:

Slim profile.
Calling reliability.
International capability (I travel frequently to Hong Kong, Singapore, China, and Western Europe).
E-mail capability.
Internet connectivity.

Kind of a strange mix, but it's leading me essentially to the iPhone vs. the Blackberry Curve vs. just a regular GSM cell phone and biding my time.

The iPhone is cool as heck, but I'm seriously concerned about international coverage, compatability with Outlook, the slow EDGE network, and AT&T. At a minimum, it seems like a better idea to wait until iPhone 2.0. My company does have a web-based e-mail access option... will Safari and the EDGE network allow me to keep e-mail tabs that way? Anyone have any experience with this? It'd be perfectly acceptable to me as my e-mail option if so.

The Blackberry seems to meet a lot of my needs, particularly if it's on T-Mobile, my current carrier. I'd have Euro calling ability, and I could switch out to a pre-paid SIM card in China and HK. But I have heard that Blackberry doesn't do e-mail well unless you have a Blackberry server, which we don't have. Is this true or are my IT people just blowing smoke?

Any of you tech savvy SFers have any input? All help is greatly appreciated.
