I visited this store on Sunday and I was thoroughly impressed by their wares. I'd set myself up for a decent expenditure on a leather sectional (their Armonia caught our eye) but when I called back to get the prices on the pieces, it totaled 27,000 dollars. That's a lot of dimp. Does anyone own any of their stuff? The leather was phenomenal and the design was decidedly modern though not egregiously so - something that my girlfriend (whose taste generally leans transitional/traditional) is appreciative of. I can't afford one of these couches at retail, period. I was curious as to if it'd be worth the time to try to hunt them down on Craigslist, etc. to try to catch a deal. I already found one and it was 12k, used, which to me is still pretty ridiculous.

Also, what about getting their leather for reupholstering, etc.? This guy has is it in an ivory/white, which is not for us, given a black dog.

You probably won't get much of anything from them at a discount, even used. Try Rolf Benz still pricey, but not as much.

Poltrona Frau uses the best leather in the industry, and are the most competent manufacturer. Their stuff is fantastic. We don't have any as it is slightly too traditional for my taste, but have some things from their sister companies.

You can ask for a discount. They will usually give you 20% or so. It is the kind of stuff that will age very well, so keep that in mind when looking at the price.

Oh, 27K, only?
I'd ask them why their synthetic foam cushions are so inexpensive

I am sure (without even reading about them) they don't make their furniture the real old-fashion way to justify the price. Thus I believe this company has rich morons as their target market.
