The Reid I posted seems to be a mix of tan/gold and brown fibers, which I like.
The LL/Molloy I posted seems to be a mix of white and brown fibers. (Dislike the white)
The LL / Molloy is kind of a cream / light tan melange plus dark brown. It's very nice in person, but a melange of just light tan like the Reid would also look great. FWIW, it's one of the sportcoats I've been most complemented in just the few short months I've owned it. Whichever way the final order goes I'm sure it'll be a hit. Enjoy!
The cotton "solaro" does not really have the same effect as the wool. the cotton looks almost like a self stripe when worn and its an ugly shade anyway. There is better cotton to wear as a suit and if you want the solaro effect, the wool is the best.
Funny. I have the diametrically opposite opinion. I spent a stupid amount of time looking at Solaros in the fall - I wish I had found the Cacciopoli cotton Solaro right away and could get all my time back.
