Thanks for the thoughts, guys. I didn't really consider the scale yet. Looking at several houndstooth jackets, you seem to be right.

BTW, can non-tweed houndstooth ever be in good taste?

Nope, but it looks promising on their website. More mottled than the beige.

Just received pictures of latest commission deep red super 200s&cashmere,  what would you wear with it? Thinking blue chinos?

That's awesome.

Is it safe to use zegna 15milmil15 for a suit or will it fall apart like Loro piana fabrics?

How would these fabric samples work out for the ultimate blue suit?

Two of those dont even look blue--is it a lighting thing?

Gray

It's blue if I say it is. Actually, I want to get away from the standard blue. The first two are definitely blue and the last one is more of a slate blue/gray.

Looking to make up some bespoke donegal tweed trousers. Something brown, similar in color to this:

Any suggestions?

Donegal might be a little too squishy for trouser wear. Consider Porter & Harding Thornprooffor most of the look with a bit more firmness.
