Gentlemen, thanks for that.
Ed's cloths are already sold. Anyone have for sale a jacket's worth (2.5m) of solid navy or brown fresco or hopsack? PM moi.

Why not ordre directly from Minnis? They ship super fast.

One more fabric question: I had a suit made up in Drapers Five Stars because I really liked the look and feel of the fabric . However I'm unsure how to describe it and thus how to look for other similar fabrics. Is Drapers Five Stars always a particular type of fabric or is it simply a line of Drapers suitings that encompasses multiple fabric types? If is always a particular kind of cloth, what is that cloth called?

Finally...
MOP buttons are not that shiny IRL. Will take some photos in next few days.
Unfortunately they are not as cool as I thought.

I'd be grateful for any first-hand observations of Smith Woolens worsteds, particularly in comparison to Minnis or Lesser 13oz. While I would have preferred a slightly heavier weight, I like the patterns, colors and feel of the swatches.

Have a few suits in smiths 11 oz worsteds and they are great - hold up real well. I really like the second in the pics, might have to have that one made up.

I'm having a new suit made up in this VBC mid-grey flannel.

Likely configuration is soft 3 roll 2, flap pockets, notch lapel, spalla camacia shoulders. Pants will be flat front with belt loops - debating cuffs.

I am seeking advice regarding buttons. I'm leaning towards dark brown horn and I wear brown shoes 90% of the time, but I'm second guessing it only because as a fall-winter suit, I could see myself in cooler colours and wearing black shoes more with this suit.

Would the dark brown horn buttons look off with black shoes?

I took delivery of some Fox Flannel samples yesterday, nice stuff.
Fox Flannel vs. JJ Minnis Flannel?

I really like the navy window pane one, I'm a little hesitant to go entire sut, opinions on a single breasted sports coat in this fabric? Or should one stick to suits for this fabric?

That is not a sportcoating. Get a simple SB suit.

Any particular reason you're not going with gray buttons? I wouldn't do contrasted buttons on that fabric, or really a suit at all.
