Anyone know where one can source linen or linen cotton blends appropriate for trousers? I am specifically looking for herringbones, POW, windowpane etc. Basically, non-solid patterns.

TIA

No one?

Try Luxire. They have an excellent collection of linen. I would imagine they would be willing to sell you fabric too, not sure though.

W Bill has some linen in herringbones.

The LL linen book also has some patterns.

Don't sweat it man, WBill and Caccioppoli are more than adequate for anyones linen needs, and Caccio italian linen is single width, just like the LL linen. In my opinion LL is only good for those one-off tweed patterns you don't really see anymore, and even then its very expensive

Well, the LL flannel isn't much more expensive than Minnis is these days.

You can source minnis for less than retail, ll not so much

+1 on Huddersfield.

I'm into order number 4 for lightweight suits with fabric I ordered from them.

Every week I get their specials and about every 3rd one I order something.

The have a couple cashmere blend 8.5 oz "fresco" fabrics for only 20pounds.

My first order was some cream barathea for a summer dinner jacket I will no doubt need at some point. I just ordered some mohair wool mix in a mid-blue POW pattern and 7/8 oz. While their listed price seems silly high even by LL standards, the 20 pound per metre price on sale seems more than reasonable.

you ever get a reply?  I'm looking for similar and have looked at http://www.theliningcompany.co.uk/catalog/index.php. I haven't ordered yet but the jacquard patterns are in the 24 pound range.

Does anyone know the company?

I keep looking at that mid-blue POW and wondering how it will make up. When you get something made, post the photos.

Thanks,

Yeah - photo made the weave look really loose but I liked the colour a lot for a summer suit. I likely won't commission until next summer as I'm only just got a call from my tailor that my WBill tabacco linen suit is ready for first fitting and I can't really justify more than one summer suit per year given my short, brutal and nasty summers.

Once I do have it made up , I will post for reference.

You mean you've just got too much sense for their prices.
