I chose this one for a sports coat because the wool/mohair mix was on backorder

I would recommend 0516 for odd jacket, I have one being made up right now, pretty nice shade of navy

those Fresco fabrics have the personality of an English gravedigger.

I have a DB suit in the Fresco I version of that fabric... It was the start of my love of DB suits.

What are your go-to fabrics for summer suiting, Ed? Unless you like English gravediggers...

Do they remind you of a sanitation worker wearing his Sunday best?

I travel to Asia a lot and in the 32 C (89.6 F) temperature, I can wear up to a max of 10.5 oz. Finnmeresco is probably one of the more open-weave fabrics and I can wear the 11/12 oz stuff without feeling like I walked out of a sauna. I prefer the heavier open-weave stuff as opposed to the lighter tropical fabrics that don't behave as well.

Always found that it was the construction that mattered -- I could wear a 1/4 lined 11 oz Lesser, but not a 10 oz fully lined coat. And I almost invariably only wear lighter shirtings because to do otherwise when I'm in Asia is suicide.

That said, I keep to air-conditioned areas 99% of the time when over in that continent.

Would you happen to have a pic? I have been eyeing that fabric myself.

I love the fresco. I will almost certainly spec it for my first MTM or bespoke suit.

Unfortunately I don't have a pic, but minnis will quickly send out a sample for you. I would also get a sample of 0579, it is the old shade of 0516 renumbered,

Any experience/comparisons?

What about trying the new Piuma (lightweight Brisa) from LL?

He just finalized the orders, but may be able to squeeze you in on the Navy.
