Ed, is there any specific reason(s) why you dislike yours?

I like the one Parker has a lot and have been tempted by it. For my complexion though, I need something darker.

Is that the mustard-y one from P&H or Harrisons? I think we conversed years ago on how we really liked it. I guess now we both feel differently! Sorry it didn't work out for you.

Recommend for me some cloths from Marling & Evans' saxony lineup.

I like 11535, 11688, and 11530 (though there seems to be a strong dislike of small houndstooth on this forum).

Sorry to hear it. Can't say I find it at all appealing myself. Maybe with denim?

Or if you cut it up, I'd buy a tie in that fabric.

11535 is pretty ugly, for a similar pattern in better colors look at 13088. 11530 is bleh but I could see why someone would want a jacket from it. For houndstooth, 11934 is similar to that LL fabric if that is your thing, Instead of 11688, I would get 11694 for an odd jacket although they are both a bit tough to pull off.

Thanks.

11535: On second look, I take your point. I haven't seen this one in person but I can see why the colors are rather dated.  I don't have 13088 in front of me, and I can't find a picture online right now. What is it?

11530: I kind of agree with you but when I inspected it in person I saw there is an orangey overcheck. The effect is greeny brown. I don't like dark brown houndstooth, but I might get this one.

As for the others, I was feverish. I think I am swearing off windowpanes from now on.

That said, 11613 looks the most warm and subdued of the bunch and smaller in scale.

Regarding the LL shetland h-tooth, I am selling my length.

What are you wearing these days, ed? I think you are a fan of the Italian microplaids?

this is 13088, bottom right, the blue is not as pronounced:

have you seen 11688? I think that would work nicely:

In terms of what I'm wearing, pretty much the same as always, staying away from gun clubs and microplaids going forward.

I'm no fan of gun clubs either.

I have the blue - looks stunning IRL:

Have any of you tried the 3 ply mohair/wool from Harrison's Evolution?

This is Fresco II 0516 made up into a Blazer. My iPhone is making the fabric look lighter than it really is. It is a Dark Navy.

I wouldn't get a Blazer-Suit out of the 8/9oz "High-Twist" stuff. It doesn't have as much texture as the 2-Ply Stuff, and won't look great as a Blazer.

Say, thanks! But wait, hadn't you steered me off of 11688 in your last post? Did we just get the numbers mixed up?

I like 11688 the best of the bunch. And I am mostly a solids/textures person the rest of the time.

A ringing endorsement. So it's kind of a blued-gray or grayed-blue? Looks nice and quiet for what it is.

Thank you, seems I was on the right track with this. Is there a difference between 0516 in Fresco I versus Fresco II? I don't understand if there is a distinction. As for the high-twist, it didn't seem to satisfy as much as the middle weights. What would it be good for? Maybe summer pants?
