They did mention to me a while ago (March 2012) that it was doable to recreate the Rangoon. Not sure if that's changed since.

The top two are lovely. I'd be more tempted by the 34581 than any of the others.

Second from the top is most excellent!

+1, but made it up might not look as good as the first.

Love donegal -- the more speckles the better -- but I wonder if that second wouldn't look a bit dowdy 'n' dirty.

34537 will look best as a jacket I think.

thats what i'm saying. the second, more speckled, blue looks better as a swatch, but would look well worn as a full on SC

What's your plan for this jacket? Worn with jeans or more worn with trousers and a tie?

Almost certainly to be worn with shirt and tie. I can't fathom wearing a coat without a shirt, and I can't fathom wearing a shirt with a coat, without a tie. LOL.

But, what about 34581 as trousers, and 34537 as a coat? Or is it preferable to do a two-piece donegal 'suit'. Not smth I've done with smth with prominent colours like this.

I'd rather have 34581 as a coat and 34519 as trousers, but I prefer light grey flannels with a donegal jacket anyways.

If you're going to try donegal on donegal, I'd prefer brown and gray to blue and gray. It's too close to the rather more formal blazer/gray trouser combination. But I'd prefer to keep my donegals separate anyway.
