I have a few - will snap some pics tonight.

You've probably never heard of it as they phased out the range in 2007.

I had a chance to buy some on LL maybe a year ago or so and stupidly passed. Jus didn't know enough at the time.

Minnis had a closeout Rangoon sale in 2007 - bought 5 suit-lengths at 12.50 gbp / meter tounge.gif

The problem with weaving a pattern is that you have to reset and reprogram the loom which is time consuming and has a cost that has to be recovered either by unit cost or quantity or both,

There used to be a POW patterned Fresco which they no longer sell. Probably didn't sell well. So your answer maybe there.

I would be surprised if Lovat had signed such a restrictive contract with London Lounge.

Do you know if Antich wove Rangoon or Fresco before Gladson purchased HFW? I know that Martin Sons originally wove Fresco and HFW purchased the rights to the range when it bought out Martins. The problem you may be having is that the mill(s) that produced Fresco and Rangoon no longer exist or don't do business with HFW any more.

Me too, though not five, but I got what I wanted.

Getting the actual suit back from Solito, however ...

Isn't Solito planning a New York City trip soon?

So he said, before going silent again.

^ I received quite a disturbing e-mail from him not too long ago, a bit too personal, was kind of off-putting actually considering I don't know the man.

Some more close ups of Rangoon. By far the best warm weather cloth I have experienced. I only have one more length sitting in the closet and would love more.

honestly I don't find Rangoon qualatatively different from Lesser Tropical but they did have several nice designs that Lesser does not and never has had in that weight.

I am trying the new Lesser Tropical soon so I hope it is on par with the old which I agree is on par with the Rangoon

Never understood why Minnis discontinued Rangoon. That was great tropical wool.
