Looks great - what weight do you envision?

Its gonna be a re-issue of the H.Lesser 10oz in a plain weave.Cloth wise, its great though just need to nail down the design which is quite Italian-ish.

Very nice. If it's close to the one pictured, I'm in.

Is this going to be done like the LL with final orders placed with the mill directly, or are you acting as a middleman to collect payment and ship parcels? I prefer the former. Not sure of your logistic setup though.

[....]

Was going through my fabrics and decided to sell the following four. PM if interested.

Two CB for Lesser gunclubs 12-13 oz, one with only blue-ish checks (ref 26070), the other with blue and crimsom checks (ref 26072), truely great fabric:

A CB for Lesser summer jacketing 8-9 oz, ref 29554:

And finally a charcoal herringbone flannel with 15% mohair in it. I am already making a suit up of the plain charcoal version:

Vintage worsted flannels with mohair from an unknow English mill, most likely some dead stock initially made for one of the SR tailors. http://www.styleforum.net/t/56404/unfunded-liabilities-a-k-a-the-cloth-thread/3000_30#post_5274712 My tailor loved it. And so did Salvatore Ambrosi (who made me an extra pair of pents out of it) and T4's tailor.

More Drapers

Took a pic of some stuff I've had for a while:
AppleMark

Then realized I'd forgotten some Harris Tweed, so I slipped it in and took a closer shot:
AppleMark
From top to bottom: two seersuckers for shirts, linen for shorts, undyed cotton/linen blend, tropical wool, cotton twill, lightweight wool, silk, linen blend, Harris Tweed, nubby woolen flannel that I washed in hot water to tighten the weave. The shirting, cotton twill and flannel are going to Luxire. The twill will be a summer suit w/ a washable, deconstructed jacket. The flannel will be a deconstructed, really sweater-like jacket.

For whatever reason, minnis is playing games with doing a patterned fresco, but they said they are more than willing to do a solid shade. Their stock fabrics seem to cover anything I would want, if anyone has any ideas such as a more blue shade of 0520 I'm all ears. I will contact smiths and see if we can do a patterned finemeresco through them, sorry to disappoint thus far

That's a shame. Is it just about doing a pattern on fresco, or is it about doing a custom run on patterns in general? I'd still be interested in organizing custom runs on here with Minnis, if other members are interested.
I did not inquire about anything other than fresco, so I can't confirm other fabrics, but I have a feeling they went to Lovat to mill the cloth, and they probably have some sort of contract with LL that only allows Lovat to do custom runs of certain patterns if it is a large commercial order, i.e 840+ meter minimum order minnis informed me of.

However solids have the normal 65m minimum so if people would like a more refined blue fresco or something else, it can be done

M Alden seems to think there are now counterfeit Huddersfield goods.

I tried to register for LL, but never heard from them. Can someone PM me Alden's e-mail address since that seems to be the way to get through?

That's too bad.

I'm with you in that the existing books have solids pretty well covered. The nailhead would be much more interesting.
