In general is mohair a stronger material than wool?

I have this one in dark grey (its sold out at the moment) and its very nice.

Cape Kid is great stuff but I prefer the Firefly. A shame that the current books no longer carry the staple colours.

I have the swatch, it resolves to a rather charming grey/blue from further away. Also, Dugdale has an interesting mohair bunch you might want to look at.

Shaggier the better in my opinion. Makes women want to touch you.

I was picturing an RAF blue with white, rather than the black or navy above. I don't much care to own a suit from the swatch you posted, but it isn't silly like I had imagined.

Would anyone know the source of this tweed?

It's an Orazio Luciano giacche tweed, try msging member ethandesu (as that is his jacket) for specifics.

The 'Giacca' itself doesnt look like Orazio Luciano though.

If that was just a cloth exchange to Liverano who probably do not use Ariston by default, I assume that Orazio, like Isaia e.g., keep the Ariston bunches as they are but replace Ariston with their propper names.

Let us know if you have any updates as to the provenance of this. Nice stuff.

^ It's made by Liverano, and the cloth looks unlike anything Ariston would spit out. Will investigate further.

It looks like something Huntsman would make up as a house tweed, so you might check with Islay Tweed, which makes their house tweeds.

It's a nice 3-button. Decent tweed but I really like the cut.
