I'm imagining the cloth to be somewhat like this photo below of CG's North by Northwest suit. It's a very hard suit to capture in photos, but this shows the blue aspects of it nicely. If you do the 8/9oz version, I wonder if Minnis could somewhat make it drape better. I've always heard that fabric gets "floppy" while worn. I've never had one made up though.

Not really sure about that either, though it is hard to tell.

I recall an LL thread from long ago that went into this in great detail and no consensus was ever reached. We might need a blu-ray of the movie to be sure and even that might not do it.

Preference for the 8/9 oz for me. Makes most sense for a warm weather suit. I don't really need a 3-season suit that looks summery

Here the thread on London Lounge about the suit Cary grant wore on NbNW. It does indicates he wore a glen plaid suit.
