It should be easy for Minnis to reproduce this cloth because it was originally produced by Martins Sons, which, like Minnis, is under the HFW umbrella.

I'm down for the POW in either weight. Thanks for organizing.

Was at Ercoles today and thought it might be helpful to snag a picture of 0500 and 0501 so you could see the true color:

Edit: Pics dont appear to be working for some reason

I'm imagining the cloth to be somewhat like this photo below of CG's North by Northwest suit. It's a very hard suit to capture in photos, but this shows the blue aspects of it nicely. If you do the 8/9oz version, I wonder if Minnis could somewhat make it drape better. I've always heard that fabric gets "floppy" while worn. I've never had one made up though.

I like the look of the 501 for the nailhead

Not really sure about that either, though it is hard to tell.

I recall an LL thread from long ago that went into this in great detail and no consensus was ever reached. We might need a blu-ray of the movie to be sure and even that might not do it.

Preference for the 8/9 oz for me. Makes most sense for a warm weather suit. I don't really need a 3-season suit that looks summery

This screen-cap from the BluRay suggests it is not a POW. Click pic for embiggening.

BTW, do either Cary Grant or James Mason get an SF good tste thumb"s up?

Here the thread on London Lounge about the suit Cary grant wore on NbNW. It does indicates he wore a glen plaid suit.
