How formal do you want it to be? For classic suitings, I second Slewfoot's Dugdale advice. For jacketing or informal suiting, I like the Hardy Worsted Alsport.

Sorry - should have specified. Biz-naz suiting.

This is what I have in mind, though mine will probably lack the dramatic lighting.

I have a suit from that. Not as smooth and hard as a similar from Smith, Lesser or Scabal, I would say.

No I like it a lot actually. In hindsight, the shade darker would have been more CBD and versatile but the cloth is great. It's bullet proof

What about recs for herringbone cashmere in a dark, rich, navy? Would be for a SC, not a suit.

I think it's pulling out of the pier, but you may be able to have them thrown you a length. I'd reach out to Alden and Lovat to inquire.

I bought some for a pair of pants, don't know how much they have left though. Worth contacting Lovat mill to check with them.

I got a navy herringbone from Harrison's moonbeam bunch, while not cashmere, it is soft and nice. I haven't made it up yet but I think it will make a nice SC.
