Thanks for the speedy reply! Does that book have flannels as well? From what I can see online it is a worsted wool book. I'm really looking more for flannel - preferably woolen flannel but will also consider worsted flannel.

You may want to take a look at Zegna's fairly comprehensive flannel collection. Unlike the vast majority of their offerings, their flannels are top-notch.

well the tweed is just swatches, I'm only ordering a few of those. if you mean all the other stuff, some of it is already being made, like the purple and blue "denim" cashmere from Johnstons which is being made into ties:



I'm really feeling this 100% silk reid and taylor, its a hard color to describe, maybe merlot,, and I'm probably the only one that is going to like this, but its so luxe and the herringbone adds surface interest. I think its going to make beautiful "dressy" ties for solid navy or grey suits.

So, which one of you has the nuts to get this beautiful Fox flannel as a DB suit

Does anyone have a photo of the Minnis Fresco 0505 - 8/9oz Navy - that shows the weave and true color? A friend can use a new worsted-type Navy blazer for Florida. Thanks!

Not sure whether this is relevant for this thread but just wanted to share some pics I took when I was down in W.Bill and also Smith Woolens that day. Picked up some linen and shetland from W.Bill and also lightweight jacketing from Smith's.Wanted to get some silk lining in paisley (as pictured below) but was scared off by the price of GBP100/meter.
