Any particular reason? This is my first Moonbeam, and there are a few other patterns I have my eye on so hope this one makes up well.

Nice. Unlined pants seem like a good way to go. Have you worn the suit on hot days? How does it handle?

I have two Moonbeams and wear them often: the dark blue with red checks and the bright navy herringbone. Love 'em both.

It's just a tough color to wear - it looks like a much lighter blue when made up than on the swatches. That said, you have a full length so you're well aware of the color. Light blue color and winter spongy cloth texture are tough to combine IME.

HK acquisitions from last week. The light blue is a linen from Peter Lee's house book while the Fresco is from Chan from the H&S discontinued Fresco section. Both have natural/shirtsleeve shoulders and fit very well right off the bat and kudos to them for finishing in time. Will try to put up fit pics one of these days.

I see, thanks - you're right, the full length did appear a bit lighter than the swatch. Is this representative of your experience with Moonbeam in general?

I'd say it's my experience with most swatches in general. Particularly blues. So when a color is already on the verge of too light/bright on a swatch, I now know to avoid it or get the one shade darker. YMMV - some people here have said that their coats/suits looked exactly like the small swatches.
