Patch Hip pockets with a barchetta breast pocket. I'm not sure about lining. How are you guys going to line yours? Is the fabric too see through for a quarter or unlined jacket?

Blazersuit here as well, perhaps with a single button closure. I had been thinking about peak lapels for five minutes but that's just too poncy for me. I'm going for a quarter lining, I don't think transparency is a big issue (except where at the shoulders, and I'll have lining there anyway), and otherwise, I'll have to keep it to low contrast shirts...

Thanks a lot Axelman! Credit goes to Michael Alden & the London Lounge Cloth Club.

I'm thinking about a three piece suit:

- Jacket would be single breasted, notch lapel, side vents, and 2 buttons (also toying with the idea of a single button).

- Vest would will be single breasted with 6 buttons, two bottom pockets and I'm thinking about a notch lapel.

- Trousers will be full rise, side tabs, no belt loops, and 1.5" cuffs. I'm still debating between flat front or a single forward pleat.


Regardless of the stylistic choices, everything will be done with Richard Lim in Los Angeles.

That pretty much sounds like what I'm planning with my length, although there's a nagging voice at the back of my head saying me I should go DB... Show pictures when it's done, I do like your earlier Lim pieces

Mine is going to be three roll to 2, notch lapel. As with my other suits make with Brisa it will be quarter lined. Trouser will be single pleated.

Is it okay to solicit the experts advice here for other make ups?
Between this year and next I'm planning on getting 4 flannel suits, and thinking of making one my first DB. Here's what my initial thoughts were. Opinions please!

All Minnis:

0301 Grey SB 3r2 flap pockets
0310 Navy chalk stripe 3r2 flap pockets ?
0311 Light Grey narrow chalk DB? Ticket pocket or no?
0304 Air Force Blue 3r2 patch pockets

Just my initial thoughts. I like the idea of DB and already read through 2-3 older threads on them here. Please let me know how you'd go about making up these 4 cloths.

Question about Slewfoot's Fresco Crew, or any others with similarly weighted fresco:

I have hairy legs, and the hair will peek through the open weave of the fresco, so I am thinking about lining the pants all the way past the knee. Will that defeat the purpose of a summer suit? I'm having it lined with a dark slate grey lining that has a very subtle brown stripe. I thought about doing it quarter lined, but decided against it. Should I have the pants unlined, lined regularly (just the top half), or as I have planned?

Slewfoot has the best 0304 I've seen and it is made up as a DB.

I think that would defeat the purpose of a summer suit. I'd just get them lined regularly and not sweat it. Do you have any unlined stuff from Frank?
