Holland and Sherry does a twill-- softer than cavalry twill-- that I like a lot. I have forgotten the name but it does come in mid as well as 13oz.
Several colors in addition to mid grey.

If I'm thinking of the same one, that's good stuff. Very soft but wears well.

I have a pair in slightly-lighter-than-navy and one in mid grey.

The grey might be a little too rustic looking for some blazer outfits though.

Anyone have any pictures of a brown houndstooth suit made up? I saw a picture of this cloth (it's a Harrison's worsted flannel) and it looks potentially promising for a casual day suit for things like church or brunches. Bonus points if it happens to be a Harrison's cloth. Edited to provide a second picture that may capture the color better (cloth number appears to be 39227).

^ Added what is hopefully a better picture after tracking the thing down on the Harrison's website.

I have something similar made up as a DB suit with patch pockets. It's nice enough but I'm not sure when to wear it :)

I actually got a length of H&S flannel in this colour.

I will say it is an excellent wintery causal suiting but can't be used as separates...

Thanks. I kind of suspected it would just be a casual suit and not that versatile, just a fun piece to have now that I have my core staples covered. I have enough other odd jackets that I wouldn't worry too much about needing to be able to use the thing for separates.

Anyone know of any good alterations tailors in Brooklyn? Preferably Park Slope? A friend is asking.

Thanks!
