Thanks. I've been searching for hot/humid weather pants, and have been surprised at the lack of very light weight / open weave / airy pants available in various NYC stores (checked Paul Stuart, Bergdorf, Saks, various others). Finally found tropical weight LP "Zelander Dream" at Turnbull and Asser and got a couple, but still surprised there weren't more options. Some NYC summer days call for maximum as **** airyness.

Didn't see anything like fresco anywhere, maybe it's super uncommon in RTW...

Fresco is fairly uncommon in RTW. Part of that is doubtlessly that it's a somewhat rough / not very soft cloth. Since most buyers have been (mis-)conditioned to regard softness as a proxy for quality, it kinda makes sense.

The 8/9oz fresco can be a bit translucent in bright light. Usually not a problem but you never know.

You'd think some of these high end places would love to have things like that - to offer differentiation.

Bought a length of boating blazer fabric from Hudderfield Cloth's clearance...I believe they still have some in stock.

I looked through all of their website but if they still have some, it's not online.

Any other possible sources for a cloth like this?

Marton Mills is another one for blazer or regatta stripes as they're called.

Question for those of you with some experience of heavier weight tweed cloths. I have an 18 ounce donegal tweed overcoat, and I find that it is not really warm enough to wear in the dead of winter.

Will a 23-25 ounce tweed overcoat wear that much warmer?

I'm looking to have made a tweed overcoat that can be worn for very cold days, but am wondering if 5-7 ounces heavier will wear that much warmer to make it worth it.

If you haven't already, you should consider wool lining. That will certainly make it warmer.

Need some help with summer suiting fabric. Can someone identify which number Crispaire this is?

And, can someone tell me if this one below is Fresco 516? Looking at it in the book, 516 looks like a true navy, but Minnis calls it a "French Navy" and that's what this looks like to me.

Both pics are from Ethandesu who identifies the fabrics but not the numbers.
