Thanks!

2.5m it is :D

^these are pretty much exactly my stats except I'm 56/46L and I usually play it safe and order 3m for a sport coat. Mainly because the cost of the extra 0.5m is negligible.

Solid advice. I have been fine with 2.5 for SC/3.5 for 2 piece and 4.5 for 3 piece. Suits obviously not big checks. Neopolitan finish, as the self lining in the chest and patch hip pockets add some incremental amount.

I have a SC in process where I was only able to get 2.1M as an end of bolt piece. Mid-sized checks. We'll see how it turns out.

I have actually gotten a solid grey suit cut out of 3 yards, not meters. I have also gotten a sportcoat with a large window pane pattern cut out of 66" of a Loro Piana fabric that was left over. I dont think there would have been enough to do patch pockets though!

I'm about a 41 chest, 5'11" and reasonably fit. OBVIOUSLY, these are rare cases and I would usually order 2 METERS for a jacket and 3 or 3.25 meters for a suit. My tailor is happy with those lengths for me, but this is a very big YMMV situation.

I guess you save where you can but the markup on cloth from tailors is probably not that high. At least not high enough to warrant going to the post office and mailing it. That's just my experience. Unless you come across a deal of something you may not be necessarily in the market for like jacket lengths that I have bought on B&S.

Not sure where you will be in Italy, but I have the sense that the Neopolitan tailors just walk over to caccioppoli and buy a length when they need it and I'd guess their navy Hoosick is always in stock

after a bit of emailing we decided that he buys the fabric.

we had some communication problems in the beginning due to his English and my even worse Italian :D

Last call for this Rangoon run. Thanks.

I'm happy to do what I can, if not, but it's a mission I'd happily shift to your plate if it works biggrin.gif

Note: I'd be in for at least a suit (maybe a vest) of both the Slewfoot/tobacco fresco, and a truer, browner brown, if we can spark enough interest for that. As it stands, I'll scan back through the pages here to get an idea of the theoretical pledges we have thus far. Obviously, this may not translate to eventually commits, but, if memory serves, we have around ~20 M of interest worth.

Sure thing, I'd basically just post it as we would for any pre-order or GMTO. Would this be ok?

I don't know if it is the correct thread.
I just found this jacket which has a very distinctive texture. Is this hopsack?

@ericgereghty @dieworkwear

We're a couple of guys at Skoaktiebolaget interested in the Slewfoot Tobacco Fresco.

That would be just fine with me. If memory serves, 60 meters are required. Maybe we could set up a thread for it? Might be easier to track commitments, and would enable us to get a more detailed accounting of specs, and all the other fun details.

Sure thing, will you post in the MTO section? I can drum up some interest in our thread too. Are there any more pictures available?
