This one? I'm actually having this one made up right now by Anderson & Sheppard. Drake's used the same cloth last winter; the one you ordered this winter. Lookbook photos might be helpful if you want to see how the fabrics look when made-up.

Wow. That looks great. I prefer muted tweeds for myself, even though GTFO tweeds are cool to look at. Is it a soft or hard tweed?

It's been a few years since I touched those swatches, but I remember them being spongey. Basically the same as what you received, just a few swatches over in the same book.

Too lazy right now to dig up lookbook photos, but the Drake's version didn't look too loud. Or at least it was conservative enough for me. Getting it with two patch pockets and a welted breast pocket, but debating if I should go two flapped at the hip instead. Any thoughts?

Are most donegals muted or GTFO in your estimation?

When I think of GTH tweeds (GTFO?), I think of Huntman's house tweeds. Donegals, houndstooths, glen plaids in standard autumnal colors seem more run of the mill to me.

@heldentenorDonegals are about as muted as you can get, short of heathered tweeds.

@dieworkwear I'd get flaps. It's a nice look. Besides, you can always take them off with a seam ripper. decisions.gif

NMWA is also having it made by Formosa for this F/W. Greg had some pics.

When you DTO Roland Barthes. The semiotic implications are strong.

Anyone tried the Marling & Evans Naturals range?

Also, @dieworkwear please upload your repository of swatch photos somewhere! :nodding:

ETA: Flapped patch is always right for a tweed like that. But plain patch looks nicer to me for a jacket that's actually going to be worn in the city.

I actually don't have that many photos. UC's post just reminded me of that Abraham Moon tweed because I recently ordered something a few swatches away from it.

That NMWA Formosa jacket looks awesome, btw. Mine unfortunately won't be ready until Spring of 2018 cause A&S only visits San Francisco once a year. frown.gif

Thanks for sharing the photos @Mr. Six. Looks awesome made up.

@dieworkwear I thought you meant patch with flaps, which I prefer over just flapped pockets. That way you can either remove the flaps and still have patch pockets.

And yet you always seem to have a photo of cloths that people mention!

I confess to joining the pre-order for the Formosa version.

Me too, it was a last-minute decision and based on those pics I'm glad I did
