Hi Add, it is a very nice suit with pagoda shoulders. Long time ago, I visited Mr Hui with you, it made me understand he provided very personal touch to customers but not so impressive about his work. After seeing your photos for pagoda shoulders, my mine change a bit. Does his CMT remain unchanged?

I have no idea about your quote on CMT. I don't think the price will be the same as last time.

Hi Add, I understand you are a loyal customers to Dudgale Brothers fabric, why you love them so much?

It is because they are relatively easy to get and they have a good range to choose. Obviously with Merino Brothers we have the more popular choice at a relatively similar price.

I would not comment on whether their fabric is necessary better than the other, it is more like a habit that had developed many years ago.

Not sure if this is the appropriate thread, but has anyone had any luck recently in contacting RJ Weldon to place an order?

They have not responded to numerous emails, do they still entertain orders from non-trade accounts?

Anyone have any recommendations for a worsted solid blue/navy fabric that has variegation // mottling (but is a worsted, not a flannel)

Gorina or Marling and Evans.[/quot

Do you like Gorina? is considered the worst after chinesse wool. Drapes very ugly and the finishing is harsh as Hell. See any Spaniard tailor ugly jackets to see Gorina on actionand it's bad drape.

In a custom run of the bleeding madras, or in the madras in general?
A weird thought about the bleeding madras. In the old days it was assumed that blazers would be kept crisp (dry clean only, unless stuck in the rain), and that shirts, shorts, etc. would bleed. But those other items came fresh and were washed by the owner. Would there be any utility to having the shirtmaker do a wash/iron of uncut fabric if that is their normal procedure? It would deal with shrinkage to be sure. But if they do a hot wash and not a careful cold water or salt water soak, would it completely destroy the pattern (not to mention what it would do to your white linen in the same load)?

Just did this. I ordered madras from the source noted earlier in cut lengths for shirts. Decided to wash ahead of sending to tailor. Threw the 2 non-bleeding in the washing machine with the one bleeding they offered at that time (sounds like it might still be available) and used hot water. When they came out they all looked pretty much the same. That said, the bleeding version is a relatively muted colour scheme which has a cream background and the other non-bleeding colours I ordered were much bolder. I may have ruined the bleeding effect by running through the dryer but the fabric is a relatively loose weave and I was afraid of post-tailoring shrinkage. I still hope for some bleeding effect but only time will tell now. Maybe these fabrics just don;t bleed as much as before.

Those bottom two are especially nice.
