IME the multiple buttons tends to make the front of the trousers lay flatter vs. just having a zipper fly.

Also, I think those pair of trousers could use another button: Italian trousers often have one button that is attached on the opposite side (i.e. the side where the button holes are). There is a corresponding button hole on the side where the buttons are, something like this (the button located underneath the hook):

To distribute the tension better and be more comfortable.  I personally think it works well, but anyone can also ask an alteration tailor to remove the internal "girdle"/belt if he doesn't like it - it would remove two buttons.

Separately, I highly recommend against wearing off-white linen on your diarrhea days.

Personally I think you could have trimmed the sentence to "I'd hate to have an urgent bout of diarrhea"

But, as this is the fabric thread, can let us know if there is a particular material you would recommend wearing while having an urgent bout of diarrhea?

I feel like "open weave" cuts both ways in your scenario.

Obviously this a the wrong thread for this question, but what ties, suits, and sport coats other than a blue blazer go with this square?

Anybody have experience with the Minnis Grey/Black Wool/Mohair Fresco? I believe it's 0578 in the Fresco II book.

I am making one now.

Well that was fast lol!

Ummm basically my curiosity was regarding the color? Does it come off as more of a charcoal grey, or a not quite black color, with perhaps a bit of that mohair sheen to it. I can't at all tell from the swatch, so if you had any truer to life pics of the fabric, that would be great!
