At one point experimenting with a startup operation in India was intriguing but, in my experience and opinion, the prices eventually shot up to the point of not presenting a good value for an item which, by the maker's own words is "not there yet." I think quotes for most jackets are over $1,000 now. CMT alone is $750. Sartoria Corcos is doing bespoke including fabrics for $2150 and it is the tip-top quality available. Why experiment?? And then you get a product that you aren't happy with and the vendor and customer hate each other.

No, they do not. Jackets start at 2300€ (= 2500$) and suits at 3000€ by now. And those are Florence prices, not sure how much more expensive the trunk show prices are.

@Stugotes

Does Corcos come to the U.S. or just Asia?  Thanks,

If only all the garments posted on LL were superb....

If you are going to hurl insults, why not name names or post examples?

The garments will only be as good as the requirements imposed on the tailor.

All entirely reasonable, except for the cell phone pocket, an ahistoric affront to the true spirit of tweed jackets.

I feel this photo is appropriate at this point in the thread.

That is only the modern name for it.
As the storage receptacle for iGent-sized birth control devices, it has a much older use.

So in terms of cell phones, would the average iGent's size be iPhone 5, 6, or 6 Plus?

I believe most iGents are actually iPod Nano but believe themselves to be 6 Plus.

A good tailor will always cut to flatter the client's physique.
