Supplying your own cloth (known as CMT on Savile Row, or 'cut make and trim') should only be considered/necessary once you have the foundations of a decent suit collection and have developed a good relationship with your tailor.

Whoops!

I'm not in a position to comment on SN's opinions of the tailoring of various countries, but I must object to the notion that the Quattroporte should be included in the same category as an S Class.

I think that was the longest post ever written on this thread.

But seriously...Madrid tailors are the best in the world.

I can't believe you would ever dispute that!!

You walk down the street, you see "Tailor" written on window, you go in, slam the hand on the table and say "Suit!". And say "please" if it's London.

Now enough with the criticism..... SartodiNapoli please tell us what is good then?

I do, but I do not understand your post. Why are you laughing? Let me know, I am curious.

I'm sorry, please do not misunderstand.

I am not laughing at you, or the tailoring in the 1950s, or the North by Northwest suit.

I just find your posts very enjoyable (and educational) to read.

No one writes posts quite like yours.

By the way, I've been meaning to ask you, what do you think of the Japanese tailors?

Sadly this profession has become a circus of horrors now, just a few ones can be called real tailors nowadays. As I always say, of every 100 or more pics I see, 1 or less is a good work, that is why for obvious %, I show the bad 99% all the time, not my fault, I am into positiveness lately but can´t feed it.

I would like to be able to show 99 goods and 1 bad, but honestly I do not find those.  BTW just realiced is an awful and totally shill section devoted to French “tailoring” where some are shilling and spamming all the time, honestly I find it a shame, could any good soul link my long post to that thread? I(if the mods agree of course), was so disgusting that only could see a few pes, totally disgusting, not only the pictures are totally ill fitting tailoring( in some cases even is not tailoring but pure and real disguises on the real therm of it), but the spam with adresses of the rockstars lady gagas was unacceptable omho. Note, when I distorted the faces of some, I was never seen that thread before, honest. Maybe I should have not done it...

Thanks! Politically correctness ruined the world... You need people as me. Tony Montana said.lol

I was asking since my English is not good so I lose  most of the meanings, Japanese tailors as well as shoemakers, most of them trained in Italy, I think some  are close to overpass their own masters, and this are the things I like to see and comment, as I believe in Darwin and evolution, dislike the degeneration and involution that all my exposed represents. I have in my good examples files some, let me find them and will post.
