Unfunded Liabilities: a/k/a The Cloth Thread - Page 1077

I think he meant they cut to order, and if you order 3 half yard lengths, you'll get a 1.5 yard (uncut) length

I don't know what the point is of selling only in half-meter lengths, unless it is to parcel out the cloth in vest sized pieces so as to make it available to more customers. If so, why would they allow that?

Maybe there's only a half meter left.

Or perhaps they want to taunt all those who forgot to subscribe when they had the chance. "O, noe-- 4m short of a suit!!! If only!!!"

There's indeed just 1/2 meter left. I think we'll just take it off the site at this point - it's essentially sold out. We offered it in increments of 1/2 meter so everyone could order exactly what they needed (when it was still in stock, you could order multiple increments with the second drop down menu, e.g. 7 for 3.5 meters of cloth, in one cut of course). Many SFers here ordered it as we ran that custom run twice now.

You should keep it up for Foo, who mentioned needing a casual flannel suit for weekends.

Come to think of it, I may need a new topcoat and that would be perfect, though, of course, Foo has first dibs.

How would we have accessed this via the site? Obviously it's a moot point for this run, but I'd be all about this (or, dare I say, the tobacco fresco!!) if it was accessible for purchase via the site!

Any thoughts on Fox's Longforth Check (gray, in this case) as a full suit?

From the swatch view on the site, it looks reasonably restrained, given its monochromatic nature.

Reasonably in the Pitti sense of the word, not the CBD version of it haha.

+1 for the tobacco fresco

Fox's own verdict:

I think you'd be eligible to try for the quantity discount.
